One of the highlights of Anime Fest! Plus+ was the generous giveaways provided by iQoo. The Pose-Off Cosplay Competition provided an opportunity for cosplayers to display their creativity and craftsmanship. Participants dressed up as beloved characters from various anime, manga, and video games. The event also served as the ANIMAX + GEM Launch Special!

No anime event would be complete without exciting performances, and Anime Fest! Plus+ did not disappoint in this regard. Let's MOVEON GLY 3V3 Badminton Showdown has successfully concluded.   According to Goh Liu Ying, there will be more exciting events in the future.

Kuala Lumpur, 2023 - The "Let's MOVEON GLY 3V3 Badminton Showdown" 3V3 badminton tournament, co-organized by Malaysia's personalised functional food technology brand "Wellous" and sports resource website "WellSport"with the goal of focusing on joint health and promoting parent-child communication, officially kicked off on 15 April 2023 (Saturday) at Vanity Atrium in Sunway Velocity Mall.

After retiring from competitive badminton, Olympic silver medalist Goh Liu Ying has been actively involved in the badminton community in a variety of roles and capacities. Furthermore, "Let's MOVEON GLY 3V3 Badminton Showdown" marks Goh Liu Ying's second 3V3 badminton tournament.

It is worth noting that not only is this a rare sporting event held in shopping malls, but it is also a badminton tournament that combines singles, doubles, and 3V3 forms. Although moving the badminton tournament into malls brings the event closer to the public, it is not without challenges. According to Goh Liu Ying, the mall's uncontrollable lighting and wind direction make the game more difficult and test players' ability to maintain concentration.

After all, 3V3 has yet to appear on the stage of international professional tournaments. "There are already a lot of regular, professional badminton tournaments, so I want to go in a different direction," she said when asked about her motivation. It's a demanding sport to play, but we're actually very happy and entertaining when we practise, so I'd like to introduce other ways of playing to more badminton fans."

Current national badminton players, including men's singles player Ng Tze Yong, women's singles player Goh Jin Wei, and mixed doubles player Shevon Jemie Lai, were also invited to support the tournament. To heat up the atmosphere, the three of them brought an exhibition match with the champion team.

Even after retiring, Goh Liu Ying remained interested in the dynamics of badminton and was optimistic about Tang Jie and Ee Wei's attempt to qualify for the Olympic Games.

Goh Liu Ying, on the other hand, stated in a media interview at the event that, in addition to seeing the Malaysian mixed doubles team's level gradually improve, she is hopeful that the young mixed doubles team - Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei - will be able to compete for qualification to the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.

"At the moment, three or four mixed doubles teams are working together to qualify for the Olympic Games and foster healthy competition throughout the Paris Olympic points cycle." This is a good thing, and perhaps everyone will benefit as a result."

Furthermore, Goh Liu Ying claimed that several professional athletes were involved in the Ministry of Youth and Sports'"Road to Gold" initiative to win Malaysia's first Olympic gold medal.

As a former national team representative and former free agent, she emphasised the importance of financial assistance.

Kuala Lumpur, May 2023 -Tavia Yeung has been appointed as a judge on the fourth season of 《好声Family》Family Singing Show. Tavia 杨茜尧  told the media that she was initially sceptical when she received the job offer because singing is not her forte. "I'm not sure why they invited me," she said. She later discovered, however, that the show is very heartwarming and joked, "I'm here to cry.""I cry even when I laugh!" When asked if her participation was motivated by her involvement in Malaysian film and television, she graciously stated, "As long as there is a suitable script, I'm willing to try," and she laughed, stating that she hasn't retired from acting yet.

This is Tavia's first appearance in a Malaysian singing competition. In this regard, she candidly admitted that she has little experience in the field of television programmes, but she finds it enjoyable and relaxed, as there is no need to memorise scripts. She revealed that, even in Hong Kong, she rarely attempts this type of television programme. As a result, she sees this opportunity to participate in a Malaysian-produced programme as "doing something unfamiliar in a familiar place."

Tavia will be in Malaysia for approximately two weeks this time. Tavia mentioned that her husband Him Law showed her a "puzzled look" and asked why she would participate in a singing competition.  [Upcoming Event] Brahms Violin Concerto by The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra

The programme will begin with Brahms' Violin Concerto in D and end with Mozart's Symphony No. 41 in C. Both works are written for similar, modern-sized orchestras and are considered to be the pinnacle of their genre.

MPO Concertmaster Peter Dani will perform Brahms' concerto, which was written in 1878 in Vienna and dedicated to two Hungarian violinists who played important roles in the composer's life. This concerto is now considered one of the greatest concertos ever written.

Mozart's Symphony No.41 is the pinnacle of symphonic craftmanship fused with artistic inspiration, eliciting the most eloquent praise and poetic expression. It was written in 1788 and was given the nickname 'Jupiter' because it evoked images of Olympian pomp, nobility, grandeur, and perfect mastery.

Stanislav Kochanovsky, the Russian maestro, returns to the MPO after his last appearance on the DFP podium in 2019. He is regarded as one of today's most promising conductors, having made successful debuts with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Wiener Symphoniker, among others. He is regularly invited by renowned orchestras and opera houses in Italy, London, Rotterdam, Netherlands, and Oslo, as well as frequent collaborations with the Moscow and St. Petersburg Philharmonic orchestras, due to his extensive knowledge and experience of a wide range of symphonic and operatic repertoire.

[Concert Coverage] 《队长 Young Captain “行至此地“2023 世界巡演》大马站World Tour Concert in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, 2023 - The versatile singer 队长 (Young Captain), known by Generation Z as the "Heartbreak Hit Songs Maker" and "The Ceiling of Emo Ballad Singer," presented his "《队长 Young Captain “行至此地“2023 世界巡演》大马站" in Malaysia as the first stop outside of China. The entire audience went wild when Young Captain took the stage. Despite his shy demeanour, he spoke very little throughout the night but won over the audience with his vocal prowess. Hewent down to the crowd and interacted with the fans three times and closed the show with the encore song "《一定会再见吧》We Will Definitely Meet Again," implying, "We will meet again soon!"

The Chinese singer Young Captain who went viral on TikTok performed for the first time in Malaysia, marking his first overseas concert. When Young Captain announced his concert in Malaysia on March 2023, tickets were sold out in less than 45 minutes, demonstrating his incredible charm.  Young Captain kicked off the show with the song 《好似又过几个秋》 which immediately set the mood. He then performed 《11》 with his friend, rapper Hooleeger 黄礼格, which prompted a group sing-along with the whole crowd. Both artists were blown away by the Malaysian fans' enthusiasm, with Young Captain exclaiming, "It's amazing!"

He also continued to mesmerize the fans with his other amazing songs such as《可能》，

《从今以后》, 《行至此地》，《予你》，《飞到你心里》，《毛衣》，《楼顶上的小斑鸠》and his popular hit 《Nuna 1.0》. 《Nuna 1.0》was the solo version of this hit and Young Captain has totally captivated the crowd with his melodious vocal.

Subsequently, Hooleeger 黄礼格 who was the guest performer of the night has took over the stage for a while to perform two songs which were 《傍晚》and 《Lowkey》. One of the highlights of the night was when Hooleeger 黄礼格 publicly presented a surprising "brotherly" confession to Young Captain. Hooleeger, who ran the tour together with Young Captain, requested Young Captain to read a letter he wrote while flying from Beijing to Malaysia at the concert. The contents of the letter were humorous and mentioned that it was written while Young Captain was asleep. It Tells the story of how Young Captain was taking him to perform together and also praised his friend's calmness in dealing with controversies during the performance in Foshan. Young Captain responded while reading, saying that, "I would really be nervous without him. Thankfully, I have him."Hooleeger also mentioned that although he hasn't held a concert yet, his "brother", Young Captain, has achieved it, saying, "When you succeed, it feels like I succeeded too." The fans in the audience were entertained by their brotherly interaction and jokingly shouted, "Be together!" He immediately emphasized, "We really are brothers!"

Yihuik 苡慧, a Malaysian girl who rose to fame on Douyin for her cover of 《热爱105度的你》was another guest performer of the night. She has performed two songs which were 《喜欢你》 and《就是爱你》. Young Captain then came back on stage to perform duet version of Nuna titled 《Nuna 2.0》 with Yihuik. It was a memorable duet performance. After the performance, Yihuik exited the stage and went backstage. "I wanted to chat with her for a while!" said Young Captain, puzzled. He asked the audience to turn on their phone lights while singing "《星光海》" and then directly asked the lighting engineer, "Can you turn off the stage lights?""I'd like to see (the audience)."Young Captain exclaimed, "Wow! Wow! Wow!" when he saw the sea of phone lights created by his fans. For his final song, he performed "《一定会再见吧》 We Will Definitely Meet Again," he changed the lyrics "from Beijing to New York" and "from Guiyang to Los Angeles" to "Malaysia.""We will definitely meet again soon!" he promised everyone.

 [Concert Coverage] Dream Theater : Top Of The World Tour in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, 2023 - On 10^th May 2023, the excitement was apparent at the Zepp Kuala Lumpur  as fans gathered to witness the amazing performance by progressive metal legends Dream Theater. The energy was high, and there was a sense of anticipation for a night filled with mind-blowing musicianship and unforgettable moments.

Dream Theater emerged to thunderous applause as the lights dimmed and the stage was illuminated. The band wasted no time, launching into "The Alien," an epic instrumental track that set the tone for the evening. The intricate melodies and complex rhythms displayed the band's technical prowess, instantly capturing the audience's attention.

Following the explosive opener, Dream Theater transitioned into"6:00," a fan favourite from their classic album "Awake." It was an exciting beginning to an unforgettable concert experience.

Dream Theater captivated the audience with a powerful rendition of "Sleeping Giant," demonstrating the band's ability to blend heavy riffs with intricate keyboard melodies. The energy in the venue was electric, and the audience was completely immersed in the musical journey that was unfolding in front of them.

With its haunting melodies and soaring vocals, "Bridges in the Sky" provided a progressive and atmospheric shift. Dream Theater's tight cohesion and flawless execution were on full display, enthralling the audience and leaving them in awe of their musical prowess.

The setlist continued to highlight the band's diverse discography, with "Caught in a Web," a track that had fans headbanging and singing along in unison. Dream Theater's performance demonstrated their enduring legacy and ability to captivate audiences of all ages.

The band performed the next song, "Answering the Call," which featured powerful vocal harmonies and intricate guitar work. Dream Theater then changed gears with "Solitary Shell,"a touching ballad that demonstrated the band's ability to convey deep emotion through music.

The band then launched into "About to Crash (Reprise)," a dynamic and high-energy track that energised the crowd. It was followed by a seamless transition into "Losing Time/Grand Finale," a masterpiece that showcased the band's ability to navigate complex compositions with ease.

Everyone was amazed with their iconic hit "Pull Me Under." The energy in the venue peaked, demonstrating the long-lasting impact that this song has had on fans over the years.

The band then gave the audience a taste of their latest album by performing "A View From the Top of the World." The song demonstrated Dream Theater's progression while remaining true to their signature sound.

Last but not least, Dream Theater presented the encore, closing the amazing concert with "The Count of Tuscany." The concert was definitely a sweet treat for all of the Malaysian fans!

Polis Evo 3 retains the DNA and elements from its predecessors Polis Evo (2015) and Polis Evo 2 (2018) - a true action comedy that brings non-stop hilarity and nail-biting action. Polis Evo 3 promises a distinct international experience for audiences to enjoy, thanks to the expertise and talents of renowned director Syafiq Yusof.

Polis Evo 3 also has an impressive cast that brings the characters to life. While the previous films only featured the iconic duo of Inspector Sani (Zizan Razak) and Inspector Khai (Shaheizy Sam), the Polis Evo squad expands with the addition of new characters, each bringing their own strengths and expertise.

Inspector Dani (Syafiq Kyle) is an explosives expert; Inspector Julie (Fara Ali Khan) is a marksman expert; Inspector Dell (Douglas Lim) is a data and technology expert; ACP Farouk (Fauzi Nawawi) is a squad leader; and Inspector Faizal (Fezrul Khan) is a special intelligence expert. Meanwhile, the dreaded antagonist, Reza, is played by acclaimed actor Sharnaaz Ahmad.

Returning cast members from previous films, such as Nora Danish, Eyka Farhana, Kamaliah Mat Dom, and Datin Fadilah Mansor, appear in Polis Evo 3. Inspector Khai and Inspector Sani's friendship is put to the test when they discover that the suspect they're looking for has a history with Inspector Khai.

Polis Evo (2015) was the first local film to earn more than RM18 million at the box office, and Polis Evo 2 (2018) earned more than RM23 million. The franchise's films are all produced by the production company BlackFlag.

Polis Evo 3 tickets have been on sale in cinemas across the country since May 11, 2023. Audiences can also be among the first to see the film through a'sneak preview' on May 24, 2023, one day before its official release. 

The original soundtrack (OST) titled 'AYUH'was composed by legendary rap composer Malique in collaboration with Adeep Nahar, and features lyrics written by Malique, Kmy Kmo, and Aman Ra. Malique, Kmy Kmo, Aman Ra, and acclaimed vocalist Ernie Zakri perform 'AYUH'.

[Movie Review] Polis Evo 3 (dual language post)

Polis Evo 3 is a highly entertaining film that strikes an ideal balance between action and comedy, making it a hit with fans of both genres. The action scenes are thrilling, with intense and well-choreographed stunts that keep you on the edge of your seat. The inclusion of comedic moments throughout the film distinguishes it, adding a lighthearted touch that brings laughter and relatability to the local audience.

Syafiq Yusof, the film's director, deserves credit for his passion and dedication in bringing this project to life. Every scene reflects his vision and meticulous attention to detail. Inspector Khai (Shaheizy Sam) and Inspector Sani (Zizan Rizak) have an obvious chemistry. Their natural rapport and camaraderie make their on-screen partnership a joy to watch, and you can tell they had a good time filming.

The performance of Sharnaaz Ahmad as the main villain, Reza, is outstanding. He gives the character depth and complexity, eliciting sympathy as well as disdain from the audience. Reza can be seen like a local version of the "Joker," being a captivating and enigmatic psychopath whose motives and actions keep you guessing until the end.

The return of Nora Danish to the series as Anis, Inspector Khai's supportive partner, is a welcome addition. She injects new life into the film and demonstrates her acting prowess in a role that provides emotional depth and contributes to the overall dynamic of the story.

Dell, played by Douglas Lim, is a standout character. Despite his minor role, Dell's wit and humour shine through whenever he appears on screen. His comedic timing and delivery, both as an actor and as the character he plays, bring laughter and lightheartedness to the film. It would be a pleasant surprise if Dell's character can be developed further in a spin-off, as his charm and wit have the potential to captivate audiences.

While the plot of Polis Evo 3 is somewhat predictable, it is the execution that distinguishes it. The film's polished and professional feel is reminiscent of Hollywood blockbusters due to its seamless storytelling and well-paced narrative. The cinematography and visual effects further enhance the viewing experience, resulting in a visually stunning cinematic spectacle.

The music and sound production are also noteworthy. The score and sound effects effectively heighten tension during action-packed sequences and add emotional depth to pivotal moments, enhancing the audience's overall immersive experience.

Polis Evo 3 delivers high-quality action sequences, engaging storytelling, and well-rounded performances. It demonstrates Malaysia's film industry's growth and potential. This film is an enjoyable ride from start to finish, with its blend of action, comedy, and compelling characters.

Founders Alvin and Han invited Jack Lim's "ChaShuiWeng" as the cafe's ambassador for the opening.

Those who listen to MY FM's morning show will be extremely familiar with this "ChaShuiWeng" figure.  During the branch's opening, "ChaShuiWeng" appeared, allowing admirers to see his real-life appearance for the first time. Jack Lim quipped that the designer could have been framing him by making his costume excessively warm to wear. He intends to hold the ribbon-cutting event as soon as feasible.

"ChaShuiWeng" also sung in collaboration with Juztin. During the occasion, celebrities such as Wayne, Joey, Juztin, Jonathan, Joshua, and Macy made appearances. Diners will receive additional incentives and benefits beginning in June 2023 if they happen to encounter "ChaShuiWeng" taking their orders.  In addition, from 19^th May 2023 to 30^th June 2023, there will be a special milk tea promotion.

Loong Cafe has also introduced a member card, which will provide clients with a discount on their bill payment as well as many other perks.

 [Local News] 'THE GREATEST ARTIST' Applauded as the First AI Multisensory Digital Art Exhibition built by Malaysians

Kuala Lumpur, 2023 - FrameMotion Studio Sdn. Bhd. (FrameMotion Studio), a homegrown digital and immersive experiential studio, has set a record in the Malaysian Book of Records for creating the 'FIRST AI MULTISENSORY DIGITAL ART EXHIBITION'following its successful debut of 'The Greatest Artist' exhibition. YB Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), expressed his interest in pursuing measures that would showcase our local Malaysian traditions, culture, and arts through modern technology on a global scale after witnessing the extent of Malaysia's capabilities in the said exhibition.

Because of technological advancements worldwide, the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) has gained traction in many Malaysian entertainment services. FrameMotion Studio was a co-organizer of the Van Gogh Alive exhibition, which was held at Pavilion Bukit Jalil from December 2022 to March 2023, as part of its mission to lead Malaysia as a high-technology and innovative country. Frame Motion Studio was tasked with curating and producing 'The Greatest Artist,' a never-before-seen, fully-AI-powered, and interactive exhibition that showcases an archive of Van Gogh, the historically acclaimed artist's paintings through immersive experiences, to demonstrate Malaysia's proficiency and advancements in AI.

FrameMotion Studio is proud to have made Malaysia the first country to feature an AI-powered exhibition in addition to the world-renowned Van Gogh Alive exhibition, which has been a worldwide success. This also reflects FrameMotion Studio's commitment to educating visitors about the artist himself, Vincent Van Gogh, by guiding them through his life in the 1800s. FrameMotion Studio hopes that by doing so, it will inspire local artists and raise awareness in Malaysia about the importance of nurturing and supporting our local creative industry.

"We produced 'The Greatest Artist' to set the benchmark for what can be achieved while using artificial intelligence to convey inherent messages while portraying art," said Mr. Jeand Pua, Chief Executive Officer of FrameMotion Studio. Taking inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh himself, we set out to create this AI-powered exhibition in order to encourage local players to go above and beyond the norm and make a positive impact on our society."

From the ideation to the actual deployment and commissioning of the exhibition, it took a total of one and a half months and 12 individuals to curate 'The Greatest Artist,' giving visitors a deep dive into the artist's life history and a hands-on immersive Van Gogh art history experience through multiple interactive activities such as:

1. INFINITY STARRY WALKWAY: A walkway made of LED strip installations that is surrounded by a mirror that reflects the visitor's reflection.

2. THE LIGHT OF HOPE: Experience the pulsating energy of sunflowers inspired by Van Gogh's masterpiece as they react to your presence and follow your every move.

3. AI SELF-PORTRAIT: Visitors' portraits were painted in the Post-Impressionist style of one of the world's most famous artists, Vincent Van Gogh. As one of Asia's first deployments of AI-generated portrait paintings, visitors to the exhibition were among the first in Asia to take home their own Post-Impressionist portraits!

4. SHOWER OF JOY: As the flowers withered and fell, visitors were able to celebrate the event's significance by witnessing flower petals swirl and land on them, touching their souls. This was inspired by the Nihonga paintings of Reiji Hiramatsu.

Since their inception, the two exhibitions have become one of Malaysia's most popular forms of entertainment, with a total of 150,000 tickets sold throughout the event period, with the first 100,000 sold in just 5 days when ticket sales were launched in early December.

YB Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), shared during an exclusive visit, "We are always looking for new ways to do things in line with new technology to enhance people's experience and advance the efficiency of doing things." I believe that by utilising technology, we can enhance the experience and make it more appealing so that they are not just coming here for a visual experience in Malaysia but a more interactive one, so I am very pleased to see Malaysians taking the initiative to adopt new technology, AI, and multi-sensory elements so that we can give more spotlight to the creative industry. I hope that we can use this technology to promote local arts and content, so that we can demonstrate to the world that we are not only rich in arts and culture, but that we can use modern technology to promote our traditional arts and culture."

备受期待的李圣杰个人首场演唱会《一人一首李圣杰马来西亚2023演唱会》于5月26日在云星剧场盛大开幕。该演唱会由GME Malaysia与SunStrong Entertainment联合主办，是李圣杰与歌迷们期待已久的盛事。

原计划于2020年举办的演唱会因为疫情而推迟，进一步增加了歌迷们对这场演出的期待。最终，在5月26日这一天，李圣杰终于带来了他的演唱会。

演唱会以《Face》作为开场曲，紧接着演唱了一系列经典歌曲，包括《靠近》、《擦肩而过》、《手放开》、《最近》和《关于你的歌》等，集中呈现了李圣杰的代表作品，给观众带来了一场音乐的盛宴。每一首歌曲都引发了观众们的共鸣，气氛热烈。

The public is invited to participate in the recording of the 8TV 20^th Anniversary Celebration Concert. 

Kuala Lumpur, 2023 - In conjunction with the 20th anniversary celebration, 8TV is planning a brand new music programme and a grand concert. Malaysia's national treasures, Michael光良, Penny戴佩妮 , Jess李佳薇, A-Bin方泂镔 and many other singers have been invited to perform on the same stage. The concert is also open to the general public for recording!

The "8TV Journey to 20: The Greatest Of of Us Concert" will take place on 22^nd June 2023, at 8:00 PM at Mega Star Arena@ Sungei Wang Plaza, Kuala Lumpur. This concert brings together 20 outstanding Malaysian singers, including Michael光良, Penny戴佩妮, Jess李佳薇, A-Bin方泂镔, Uriah徐凯, Jeryl李佩玲, Firdhaus菲道尔, Kaia李佳欢, Danny许佳麟, Danny温力铭, Orange陈慧恬, Nicole赖淞凤, Geraldine颜慧萍, Shio郭修彧, Colbie王思涵, Layla蕾拉, JE庞琂予, Madison刘汉杰, Victoria黄诗琦and Emily蔡瀞萱. They will present a series of exciting collaborative performances, including up to nine segments of performance repertoire, that are sure to pique the audience's interest!

Kevin Foo, Chief Operating Officer, 8TV, stated, "Through this concert, we hope to celebrate 8TV 20th anniversary milestone with the audience and give back to them for their support over the years." In addition, 8TV is preparing a music exchange variety programme called “The Greatest Of Us” which will bring together the Malaysian Chinese music scene's new generation and veteran singers to present classic works from various eras.
