This time around, the concert has brought the wave to Stadium Malawati, Shah Alamon 18th August 2018 with the presence of Kpop Sensations such as FTISLAND, EXID, MONSTA X, AOA, JEONG SEWOON, WJSN and BOYFRIEND!

This time, the festival which was held outdoors for the last 2 consecutive years, is making a change by moving indoor! Stadium Malawati was the right spot to fit in over 7,000 attendees!

7 Acts with 39 idols! An amazing K-pop Show!

The show lasted for over 120 minutes with the presence of 7 acts in which each act sang 4-6 songs! It’s really a spectacular concert and it’s amazing how MacpiePro was able to deliver what it has promised!

The first act which came on stage was WJSN (a.k.a Cosmic Girls) which have sang a total of 4 songs including “Dreams Come True”, “Secret”, “I wish” and “Starry Moment”. It was such a charming performance by the girl group!

Following WJSN, the second act was the solo performer, Jeong Sewoon. The charismatic oppa also performed a total of 4 songs including “20 SOMETHING”, “Toc,toc”, “Irony” and “Just U”.

One of my favourite act of the night, AOA was the third act of the night! I am sure many have been waiting for AOA’s LIVE performance for quite a long time. They started off by singing the newer songs such as “Bingle Bangle”, “Excuse Me” and “Bing Bing”. Many ELVIS (AOA’s fans) was worried that they wouldn’t get a chance to listen to AOA’s older songs.

However, the lovely girl group have performed another 3 songs from their previous albums such as “Like A Cat”, “Miniskirt” and “Heart Attack”. They truly did not disappoint the fans! It was a really astonishing performance by AOA!

Boyfriend was the fourth act of the night! They have performed a total of 4 songs including “Star”, “Obsession”, “I’ll be there” and “I Yah”. This is their 7^thyears since debut and they are very thankful to all of the fans who have been supporting them so far!

Another of my favourite act of the night was EXID who came on stage as the fifth act after Boyfriend. They have performed a number of energetic and upbeat songs such as “LADY”, “DDD”, “Night Rather Than Day” and“Ah Yeah”. They then teased that “Hot Pink” would be their last song.

Everyone was happy to see them performed but I am sure many would really love to see them perform their iconic “UP & DOWN” LIVE! Nonetheless, they surprised the audiences by saying that they have another last song to perform on stage, which is everyone’s anticipated “UP & DOWN”. The girls were totally astounding!

MONSTA X which came on stage after EXID continued to heat up the concert atmosphere with their dynamic and powerful performances. This act was being teased since previous K-WAVE 2 and we can see that many fans actually came to the show for them. The oppas have performed a total of 6 songs including “DRAMARAMA”, “From Zero”, “White Love”, “Be Quiet”, “Special” and “Jealousy”.

After MONSTA X, the concert proceeded with a short lucky draw session while the stage crews prepared the instruments for the final act of the night, FTISLAND!

FTISLAND who was the final act of the night brought the concert heat even higher when they asked the fans to stand up and jump along during their performance. Their lively performance have brought a lot of excitements to the fans! They have sang a total of 6 songs including “PRAY”, “Out Of Love”, “Summer Night Dream”, “Champagne”, “The Night” and “Take Me Now”!

At the end of the show, there was no post-concert trailer like in previous K-Wave 2. (read our article here: http://www.wljack.com/2018/01/concert-coverage-k-wave-2-music.html). But there was the announcement by the host emcee regarding the upcoming back-to-back Kpop Marathon Concert of iKON and WINNER which are happening on October 2018! Overall, I really think MacpiePro has done a marvellous job in organizing a Kpop Concerts! Thumbs up to the organizer and million thanks to MCALLS for bringing us the event!

[KPOP] 8 things MacpiePro Done Right In K-WAVE Events in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, August 2018– Our country has a large fans base for K-pop as well as Korean Drama and Korean related stuffs. With such a big market, it’s not a wonder why many companies would jump into the bandwagon to try to organize a K-pop event.

There were many successful ones in the past by different organizers as well as some missed attempts or failed attempts by others. We can all agree that organizing a Kpop event can be quite a challenging task.

After attending multiple Kpop events in the past, I can safely say that MacpiePro has definitely done a great job for the Kpop communities in Malaysia because of their strategies and their concepts in organizing a kpop event.

K-Wave 3 Music Festival was really an enjoyable show and I really wished those who have missed a K-Wave concert to mark its future event into your bucket list!

Here are the things that I personally felt that MacpiePro has done right. (This post is based on my personal opinion and not a paid post)

1. Venue Selection

MacpiePro has always chosen the venues that can fit the impressive stage props for a prestigious concert like K-Wave. The attempts in outdoor venue were great. But outdoor venue can also pose issues such as exposure to rain, wet grounds and etc. This time, MacpiePro has brought the show to an indoor venue which is large enough to cater the huge amount of fans. What’s more important, the venue also has a large parking space. There’s no worries for the attendees regarding where to park their vehicles.

2. Delivering The K-pop Experience

Many organizers have issues in delivering what they have promised. The past history of failed Kpop concert in Malaysia made the Kpop fans more worried of what to expect from Malaysian organizers. However, MacpiePro has proven to the Malaysian Kpop communities that they can deliver a complete Kpop concert experience as they have promised. Despite having so many acts in one show, they managed to ensure every acts are present to perform for the fans who have eagerly anticipated the show!

3. Tickets Price

It’s such a good job that MacpiePro managed to maintain their “no pressure” ticketing concept that provide a chance for the young Kpop fans to indulge in a full-fledge Kpop festival at a very low cost of RM 34. If you do not fall into the youth category, the pricing for the tickets are also very affordable, ranging from RM 98 – RM 478. If you divide the 36 songs performed, each song that was performed LIVE only cost you RM 0.90 – RM 14.00.

4. Punctuality

Many concert organizers practice a “Malaysian Timing” system whereby the concerts are always delayed from what was being stated. I have been to concert whereby the stated time was 8pm, but the show only started at 9pm and ended early at 10pm. However, MacpiePro has done a great job in ensuring the event was held on time. I have checked my watch, the concert started punctually at 8pm. For a concert with so many acts, punctuality is very important and kudos to MacpiePro for keeping the good culture!

5. Good Ticket Checking System

The QR Code scanning system is a good implementation in my own opinion. It can prevent fake tickets from being used for admission and it was hassle free.

6. Lucky Draw For Fans

While I am not too sure what was the present for the lucky draw winners, but I do felt how much the organizer appreciate the audiences and fans by providing an opportunity for a lucky draw. It’s a welcoming practise in a music festival like this.

7. Clear Instruction For Prohibited Items

While prohibited items list are definitely part and parcel of every concerts, MacpiePro has addressed a more complete list of items to fall into this category. I especially love the idea of prohibiting “Item Larger Than A3” because I have seen many concerts whereby people are holding very large boards or even the 12 inch iPad which obstruct the views of other audiences. This time, I get to see less of such obstruction and more people enjoying the show for the sake of kpop fun!

8. Teasers For Upcoming Events

One thing good about MacpiePro Event is that, every time when the show is over, they would provide a hint on upcoming Kpop Events that they are bringing to our shore! This makes the kpop community more alive and have something to look forward to after the end of every great fun!

What I Wish They Have Done/Keep On Doing:

*Meet and Greet Sessions, Hi-Touch, Fan Signing

I still recalled in the previous K-Wave 2 Music Festival, MacpiePro was managed to organize some pre-concert and post-concert meet-the-fans session with the K-pop idols. I think this is a good culture to keep. Although it was not present for the latest entry in K-Waveevent. I do hope they can bring this culture back to their series.

I still recall how excited the fans get when there was a post-concert trailer shown after K-Wave 2 Music Festival that teases regarding K-Wave 3 Music Festival and showed us that Monsta X would be one of the performing act. I think this strategy is very brilliant and I hope it can be kept for the next event.

Personal Wishlist:

Now, come to my final personal wishlist, after so many acts have been brought to Malaysia. Can MacpiePro consider of bringing my Kpop Queens, BLACKPINKto our area? Really wish that it could come true some day!

Enchanting Show Filled With Elegance!

The show has a total of four acts namely Act 1: The Birthday Celebration, Act 2: Odette’s Story, Act 3: The Matchmaking Party and Act 4: Forgiveness. Each act is equally astounding and has totally absorbed the audiences’ attention.

These are a little bit of summary of what to expect from each Acts:

Act 1: The Birthday Celebration– Prince Siegfried is presented with a crossbow during his birthday & is told that his marriage will be quickly arranged by the Queen. He runs to the woods to go hunting.

Act 2: Odette’s Story - Prince Siegfried meets the most beautiful swan, Odette. Evil sorcerer, Rothbart turned her and other girls into swans; and can only be freed by a man who loves none but her.

Act 3: The Matchmaking Party - Rothbart brings his daughter Odile, disguised as Odette. The Prince confesses his love to the wrong lady!

Act 4: Forgiveness – The Prince realizes his mistake and tells Odette that he was deceived. They declares their love for each other…but what happens next? You may find out about the story during the show!

We were enthralled by the graceful dance choreography by the main casts as well as the rest of the dance crews. Every set piece moments were carefully executed with the elegant dance which is going to blow your mind away.

Apart from delivering a wonderful dance performance, Swan Lake by Ballet West also features good story-telling. The dance-driven plot is as engaging as it can get when it progresses from act 1 till the final act.

Kuala Lumpur, August 2018 – Taiwan Ministry of Culture臺灣文化部 is organizing a Multinational Music Industry Exchange Activity this September 2018 with the objective to encourage and increase interactions of industry players from both countries of Malaysia and Taiwan. The exchange platform has been titled “Taiwan X Musician Exchange” and will be featuringKowen 柯智棠, Fang Wu吳汶芳 and Paudull陳建年from Taiwan! On the other hand, Malaysian representative musician will feature REZA SALLEH as “Taiwan Night Showcase臺灣之夜” opening act.

I am sure everyone is anticipating the performance by Kowen whohas recently released his second album《吟遊》. He is famous for his unique vocals and he has been nominated in 第27屆金曲獎最佳國語男歌手獎 before.

Fang Wu 吳汶芳 is a new generation female singer who has received a lot of attention. Her singles《孤獨的總和》in her first album《汶亂，卻美好著》has garnered over 16 million views in Youtube. I am sure everyone is looking forward for her performance!

Besides the two younger generation singers, the show also features Paudull 陳建年who was dubbed King of Classical Melody, 金曲歌王! His voice has touched the hearts of many via his songs such as 《海洋》and《大地》.

[Coverage] Taiwan X Malaysia Musician Exchange Media Reception Event

Media Reception Event

Kuala Lumpur, September 2018 - Taiwan X Malaysia Musician Exchange, officially supported by the Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development (BAMID) of Taiwan; held its first ever event in the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC)on 3^rd September 2018. This event aims to build strong bilateral relationship of the music industry in both countries, improve business networking, broaden the market, and deepen the cultural and economic cooperation between countries.

A mix of 50 Taiwanese & Malaysian delegates were present during the event. Most of them representatives of music industry-related companies/institutions, such as: music company, artist management company, music streaming services, music journals, music festival/event organizers, radio stations, music producers, etc. The team will also be heading to Thailand and Japan later this year, and plan to explore Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam next year.

Paudull陳建年, often referred to as the simplest and purest voice in Taiwan. He recently retired as a policeman at the East of Taiwan last September. During a short session with him after the reception, he jokingly said that he’s under a lot of pressure from fans, as it has been 16 years since his 2nd album release. However, he mentioned that he is constantly looking for inspiration and learning new things every day; and hopefully there will be some new songs from him soon. As a member of the Pinuyumayan (also known as Peinan 卑南) tribe, Paudull greeted the audience with his tribe language. Paudull was very happy to find that there are a lot of similarities that he can identify between his homeland and Malaysia, certain pronunciation of words, even the skin colour. This made him felt very at home in Malaysia, even if it is his first time here.

This was actually Fang Wu 吳汶芳’ssecond time in Malaysia. She once visited Langkawi Island for a personal trip, and she misses Malaysian food a lot. Fang shared that she loves surfing and diving, and she would be performing a lot of ocean-themed songs from her latest album. She is also very concern about the ocean trash issues, and hopes to incorporate more of nature preservation messages in her future songs. We asked her if she has any specific Malaysian that she’d like to collaborate with. Fang revealed that she was very much influenced by Penny Tai when she first started song-writing, and she would love to collaborate with Penny in future.

Kowen Ko 柯智棠 just released his latest album 《吟游》a month ago and he’s currently on tour with his band. Unlike his previous music, which is relatively peaceful and calming; this new album portrays a more rock version of Kowen. Coming from a family of singer-song writers, he was asked if there’s any chance of him collaborating with his cousin sisters Waa Wei魏如萱 and Queen Wei魏如昀. He replied that so far there hasn’t been any chance yet, but who knows what the future holds.

[Coverage] Taiwan X Malaysia Musician Exchange Media Taiwan Beats Showcase

Kuala Lumpur, September 2018 - Taiwan X Malaysia Musician Exchange, Music Showcase was in the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) on 3^rd September 2018. It was a great musical night with a variety of singing performances from Taiwan Musicians!

Kick starting the night, Reza Salleh took the stage, backed by a trio consisting of bass guitar, violin and percussion. Although for many in that hall, it was their encounter with Reza (myself included), many fell under his spell even before the first song ended. Reza’s music is easily relatable, based upon the most common things/scenarios around us daily.

Next up was Kowen 柯智棠, who was performing for the first time in Malaysia. His unique voice, husky and full of emotion captivated the audience from the first note itself. Kowen was backed by his band, whom stood by him through the production of his latest album 《吟游》.

Fang Wu 吳汶芳 ’s performance started off with an interesting opening, featuring sounds from recyclable items. The band collected unwanted items like cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, chips container, etc. from around KL; and made them into instruments and incorporating into the first song. Fang’s set was ocean and nature-preservation themed. During her performance, Fang also shared with the audience that she is incorporating environmental preservation into her daily life. For example, bringing own eating utensils instead of using the disposable ones; and bringing along a water bottle instead of just buying a disposable drinking water bottle.

During Paudull 陳建年’s performance, he was slightly nervous that even his hands were trembling. He was worried whether his music will be accepted here. However, the crowd was instantly mesmerized by his voice and music. Throughout the performance, Paudull’s sincerity and pleasant attitude made him a crowd favourite. Paudull also prepared a surprise for the audience when he suddenly added the local favorite “Rasa Sayang” into his performance. After his 40mins performance, the crowd were still eager for more, and he went back on stage for a last encore song.

A Great Show For Malaysia Day!

The show was held in conjunction with Malaysia Day and has attracted a big amount of audiences to dance their night away! Knowing Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox performs modern pop songs in a unique retro style, we also saw that many audiences actually came to the concert in their classy vintage outfits!

The show features a number of performers including Ariana Savalas, Brielle Von Hugel, Mario Jose, Olivia Kuper Harris and Von Smith as well as the group of talented live band. They have absorbed the crowd into re-interpreting some pop songs with the rendition of different era!

In addition, there were two opening acts from Malaysia including Yuin Lu Hoo’s “Never Enough” and Yazmin Aziz “Crazy in Love”! Both have done a great job in opening the show prior to PMJ’s Performance!

Ariana has kicked off the show with a vintage style of “Bad Romance”. Her voice is totally alluring! Mario Jose has also impressed the audiences with his own version of pop songs “I am Not The Only One”.

Olivia Kuper Harris who has won the PMJSearch2017 landed a spectacular impression to the audiences with her fascinating cover of “Last Friday Night”. She also performed her audition performance of “Sunday Morning”.

Von Smith also uplifted the atmosphere with his energetic performance of “Cry Me A River” and “All Star”. Brielle Von Hugel captivated the crowd with her dazzling vocal as she performed her own version of “Hey Ya”.

Of course, PMJ’s fans would have already anticipated the spellbinding performance of “All About The Bass” from them as this is one of their most iconic cover songs. Last but not least, the performers have also provided a spectacular finale encore with the song of “Shake It Off”!

Overall, it was a really fun and entertaining show. Million thanks to Starline Production for giving us a chance to do a coverage on the event.

[ALEXANDROS], formerly known as Champagne, is a four piece rock band from Japan that plays a mixture of alternative and hard rock with elements of pop punk and emo, lending them a contemporary sound that carries a wide appeal. On top of that, the band performs songs in both Japanese and English, which makes them instantly accessible internationally. The band consists of Yoohei Kawakami on vocals and guitar,Hiroyuki Isobe on bass and backing vocals, Masaki Shirai on guitar and Satoyasu Shomura on drums.

Jazz Style Opening Act!

Prior to the appearance of the band, there was a Jazz performance by an opening act, “Fazz”. Their performance is quite delightful and pleasant as a kick-off for the concert.

[ALEXANDROS] in the house!

Finally, the J-rock band came on stage with the performance of their significant tunes and singles! Their performance was indeed upbeat and powerful throughout! It’s not a wonder why the fans would get hyped up during the show listening to their energetic beats. Some of the singles performed include “Burger Queen”, “Adventure” “starrrrrrr”, “Moon Song”, “Hanauta” and etc!

I especially love the part where they performed “Mosquito Bite” which was the theme song for “Bleach:The Movie”. It was really an enthralling performance!

As a finale, the band has fascinated the fans with their notable single, “Kick & Spin”! It was really a vibrant night and I am sure all of the fans have enjoyed the show thoroughly!

I really appreciate the liveliness of the band as they have shown no exhaustion at all after performing all of their exceptionally intense songs!

Kuala Lumpur, September 2018 – One of the most anticipated pageant competition, Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant 2018 (#MACIP2018)《Astro国际华裔小姐2018》final has been held last week at MITEC Hall 10 and 11, Kuala Lumpur.

Jovane彭嘉伊 crowned The Beauty Queen Of The night! All-rounder Champion!

As the competition reached its finale, it’s announced that Jovane was the Champion of Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant 2018! Apart from just being the champion, she has also won all the other subcategory awards like “Most Body Beautiful完美体态女神”, “Miss Photogenic最上镜女神” and “Miss Popular人气女神”. Jovane expressed that she has never expected that she could be crowned as the champion. She felt very grateful to receive a lot of supports from her friends.

Jolene, 1^st Runner Up of #MACIP2018!

Jolene张吟 who was one of the most well-received contestant of the competition has stood strong as 1^st runner up for Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant 2018. She said that she has tried her best and she was happy with the outcome. She also felt very thankful because the competition this time actually allowed the contestant to speak in English. She said that she has also tried to learn Mandarin language throughout the competition. She doesn’t think that language was the main factor that decide on the final result.

Khai Sin 刘恺欣 Who Has Been Consistently Top 3 in Miss Popular Poll, ended up as 2^nd runner up!

The 2^nd runner up of the night was Khai Sin刘恺欣 who has always been one of the top 3 during online poll for “Miss Popular”. She mentioned that she already noticed Jovane was the leading contestant in the online poll near the final few days before closing. Thus, she said that she’s not disappointed with the final result. She highlighted that despite the competition has come to an end, their friendships amongst the contestants will still last beyond that.

“Girl Power” As The Theme!

Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant 2018 has emphasized “Girl Power” as the main theme this year. The top 8 finalists this year are all very well-balanced in terms of complexion as well as their wisdom. 8 of the finalists including Samantha陈舒君, Joey刘嘉怡, Khai Sin刘恺欣, Alanis叶津妗, Jovane彭嘉伊, Geying李格莹, Shi Chi李诗琦, Jolene张吟，were all perfect symbols of “Girl Power”.

There were many special highlights during the show this year that has made it so much different from the previous years. This year kicked off with the finalists taking up roleplay of ladies from different generation and acted it out on stage. It was a very special introduction.

The show then proceeded with catwalk and swimwear show that truly mesmerized and charmed all the audience.

One main focus this year was the Q&A sessions which totally tested out the finalists’ eloquency and wits. Many tough situational scenario were provided and the finalists need to speak as much as they can to link the topics well with the theme of the night. In my opinion, this was a really good attempt. With this emphasis, I believed the finalists who are representing our country for future pageant contest are not just beautiful from the outside, but also pretty from the inside with their demonstration of good wisdom and excellent fluency in speech.

Top Notch Panel Judges!

This year, the pageant has invited top-notch international panel judges including famous HK Artiste Annie Liu Xin You刘心悠, Singapore Actor Desmond Tan陈泂江, Malaysia Drama Best Actress Yeo Yann Yann杨雁雁, MY DJ, actor, producer Jack Lim林德荣 and Adonis爱美雅集团总裁Miss Ann Lee李津梅. All of the judges mentioned that they have had a tough time in giving marks to all of the contestants. They felt that all of them were very spectacular. They were totally impressed by the Top 5 finalists’ Q&A sessions. Annie Liu even highlighted that she would have difficulty to answer the question too because the Q&A was really tough. However, the judges were all amazed by the finalists’ answers.

Apart from that, Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant 2018 (#MACIP2018) has also invited 《The Voice决战好声》 Champion林文荪 to perform on stage. Her performance was enthralling!

[Upcoming Event] The 19th European Union Film Festival (EUFF) 2018

The European Union Film Festival is back! A cinematic journey through Europe with 21 award-winning films!

KUALA LUMPUR, October 2018 - The European Union Film Festival (EUFF) returns once more in its 19^th year in Malaysia to selected Golden Screen Cinemas. It is one of the biggest international film festivals in the country.

This much-anticipated event promises to showcase the dynamism, breadth and innovation of contemporary European cinema, as well as the cultural diversity of Europe, with critically-acclaimed films from across the continent.

This year, we have added one more city to the festival tour – Johor Bahru. The European Union Film Festival will take place at selected Golden Screen Cinemas outlets in Klang Valley (18 – 28 October), Georgetown (1-7 November), Johor Bahru (15-18 November), Kuching (22-28 November)and Kota Kinabalu (6-12 December).

Since its first edition in 2000, the EUFF has brought together film enthusiasts, students, families and even people looking for their first foreign-language film experience. Spanning animation, drama, romance, comedy, adventure, children's film and documentary, the wide ranging programme is a testament to Europe's continued creativity and diversity and has something for everyone's tastes.

"Europe has never been just one, but many. Through EUFF, we hope not just to promote Europe's cultural diversity but also diversity at the centre of international cultural relations, as this is an important part of the EU's role as a global actor,"said H.E. Maria Castillo Fernandez, Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to Malaysia.

"We hope that these movies not only entertain, inspire and teach us about European culture but also open people's eyes to how both European and Malaysian people enjoy cultural diversity," she added.

The 21 films this year come from 17 European countries. All are award-winning films. This year, the festival line-up also features films from non-Union countries Switzerland and Norway. Some of the films are collaborations or joint-productions between European countries. For example, the film Loving Vincent, a beautifully-rendered animation about the life of artist Vincent Van Gogh in the style of his paintings, is a joint-production of Poland, the Netherlands and France.

To celebrate the cultural impact of the film and the artist Van Gogh, the Embassy of the Netherlands has organised art workshops for refugee children in Malaysia in conjunction with the EUFF 2018. The children's Van Gogh-inspired paintings will be displayed at the EUFF's Kuala Lumpur launch on 17 October, and a silent auction will be held for the sale of the painting, the proceeds of which will go to aid refugee children.

Eight films –– Anka(Croatia), Kinscem, Bet on Revenge(Hungary), Friends by Chance (Italy), Quo Vado? (Italy), Miss Kiet's Children (Netherlands), Selfie (Romania), Breaking News (Romania) and My Big Night (Spain) will be screened for free at all participating cinemas.

iKON heated up the stadium! 7000 audiences in a sea of red!

The boy group of 7 members, including B.I, Bobby, Jay, Song, Ju-ne, DK and Chan were able to hype up the stadium during the concert! The boys have amazed the 7,000 audiences with their energetic and powerful performance!

Kicking off the show with their popular singles including “BLING BLING”, “SINOSIJAK”, “RHYTHM TA (Rock Ver)”, they have heated up the stadium with excitement. A great view of the night was the passionate fans who waved with their red coloured light stick! The sea of red was really an amazing display!

In between the performance, there were also a lot of interaction between the boys as well as greetings to Malaysia fans. There were also video clips shown in between transition of their performances. One thing which was really impressive during the show was the great lightings, background animations and the whole prop set up which were well done!

Love Scenario!

One of iKON’s most iconic song is “Love Scenario”. There was a short prologue video before the song was performed. The video highlighted that the song has topped a few charts as well as received a lot of love from kpop fans. The song is also children’s favourite.

The melodious tone of “Love Scenario” was not only performed once as it has resurfaced again for the second time during the encore session. This was such a tympanic pleasure for all the iKONIC who really love this song.

Encore!

After performing a series of their songs including “Goodbye Road”, “Killing Me” and “Freedom”, they left the stage temporarily with a promise to come back for encore if they could receive enough cheering and shouting from their fans.

Of course, all the attending iKONIC have shown an overwhelming response in calling for an encore. The boys then reappeared on stage and performed another 4 songs including “Just For You”, “Love Scenario”, “Dumb & Dumber”, “Adore You”!

The show lasted for around 2 hours and it was a really satisfying and entertaining concert!

Kuala Lumpur, October 2018 – It was an awesome weekend last week as MacpiePro has brought 2 groups under the K-pop powerhouse YG Entertainment, iKON and WINNER to Malaysia as part of their tour. Organized by MacpiePro, WINNER 2018 EVERYWHERE TOUR IN KUALA LUMPURhas rocked Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam on 14 October (Saturday).

WINNER 2018 EVERYWHERE TOUR IN KUALA LUMPUR

WINNER Took Over The Stage with Energetic Performance! Amazed 6,500 fans!

After iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR has taken place one day prior, WINNER took over the stage of Stadium Malawatiwith their EVERYWHERE TOUR IN KUALA LUMPUR! Attended by approximately 6,500 fans, the scene that night is being replaced by a sea of blue instead of the red seen during iKON concert.

The four member Kpop Boy group consisting of Mino, Yoon, Hoony and Jinue kicked off the show right on time at 6pm with their popular singles such as “Empty”, “AIR”, “Hello” and “Everyday”. The group also performed a few other songs such as “Raining”, “Movie Star”, “Immature”, “Really Really” and etc.

Their performance are upbeat, energetic and has totally amazed the audiences! Besides performing singing, they have also demonstrated very astounding dance choreography on stage. Besides, they also have a very funny interaction amongst themselves on stage. There were also a lot of impromptu moments on stage. For example, Yoon suddenly sang a short version of his own rendition of John Legend’s All Of Me. Another notable one, is when all of them were suddenly beatboxing on stage.

In addition to that, the concert also featured short videos in between some of the song performances (Like the one in iKON CONTINUE TOUR Concert). The cheeky and funny video has provided additional laughter to the fans!

Encore!

Similar like iKON’s concert, WINNER also featured a great encore session with performance of four songs including “Don’t Flirt”, “Luxury”, “Really Really” and “Everyday (remix)”.

The show lasted for around 2 hours and it was a really a fun and exciting concert!

Million thanks to the organizer MacpiePro for bringing such an amazing Kpop concert to Malaysia. Not much organizer was able to bring so many good Kpop act to Malaysia within the same year successfully and MacpiePro is definitely one of them at the top of the list. In addition to the fore-mentioned things which MacpiePro has done rightin previous events, there is another new element added in this back-to-back concerts. They are even thoughtful enough to prepare a “Send Off Area” for the fans to gather after the event to send off their idols. This is something new in my opinion and I like the idea very much.

After the long wait of 4 years, Rachel has brought her latest album 《副駕駛座的風景》to meet and greet the fans in Malaysia.

As she appeared on stage, she has performed her hit singles “还好”. During the performance, she expressed her joy in meeting the Malaysian fans. She mentioned that she has been very close with the Malaysian fans. A lot of the Malaysian fans has interacted with her via social media and she felt that they are just like her “online friends”.

She also felt very delighted as she was finally able to fulfill the promise she made during “Famine 2017”, which is to bring a new album to meet the Malaysian fans the next time she makes a comeback to Malaysia.

During the event, she also interacted with the fans with games and autograph signing.

Kuala Lumpur, October 2018 – Taiwanese-mixed Korean singer Bii 畢書盡 has made an appearance on 20^th October 2018 for the ticket signing event of his upcoming concert “My Best Moment”. The concert is happening this coming November 2018 and it is selling fast.

Bii has highlighted that Malaysia was one of the country which he felt closely connected with. The reason is because it was the one of the earlier country for him to hold his first concert previously. As for his second concert in Malaysia which is happening soon, he promised that he will try to give something new to the fans.

Bii’s special guest in his Kaohsiung’s concert was Vivian Hsu. He said that he wished he could bring her to Malaysia as a special guest too. Either way, he hinted that he will try to have a special guest to appear during his concert.

During the session, he has performed one of his most iconic song “Love More” as a teaser for the fans. He has also interacted with his fans during the fan signing event.

First Performance in Malaysia After Getting Married!

After the long wait of 4 years, Rachel has finally come back to Malaysia with her latest album《副駕駛座的風景》together with a full concert. This was her first time performing in Malaysia after she got married! When she asked the fans regarding her difference after her marriage, the fans replied that she became prettier and this made her felt really delightful.

Kicking off her show with “副驾驶座的风景”，she has mesmerized her fans with her melodious vocal. She also performed a few other songs from the latest album including “转折”，“那双看见的手”，“还好”and etc.

During the show, Rachel also shared a little about the story between her and her husband. She praised her husband for being good looking.

Rachel who was bubbly have also interacted with the fans, joked about her heels being very high (which made her look taller) and etc. It’s really fun to watch her perform as we can see that she’s really enjoying it.

Wen Suen 林文蓀 As The Special Guest!

The guest performer for Rachel’s concert was Wen Suen 林文蓀who was the champion of “The Voice 决战好声”. This was the first time for Rachel to collaborate with Malaysian singer. She complimented that Wen Suen 林文蓀is a very dedicated and punctual singer as she came early for their rehearsal practice.

Both of them have performed duet together with the song “和平分手”. Then, Wen Suen took over the stage and perform her own song, “这世界终会记得我的名字”. During her solo performance, there was a technical error in playing the background music. However, Wen Suen was very calm and she performed the song from beginning again. Her response has earned the applause from the audiences.

Kit Teo 张起政 was amongst the audiences!

During the show, Rachel also highlighted that her good friend Kit Teo张起政was sitting amongst the audience. She thanked him for composing good songs for her latest album.

During the near end of the show, the audiences lit up the handphone light with a pink colour sticker attached to it. This has created a wonderful lighted scene which was very memorable. Even Rachel also took out her phone to capture the photo of the scene!

Overall, it was a really satisfying concert and it was a great treat for Rachel Liang Wen Yin’s fans. Million thanks to Universal Music Malaysia for providing our team a chance to do a coverage for the show.
