February 2019, Kuala Lumpur - It was an extremely happy weekend for the BLINKs last weekend on 23^rd February 2019 and 24^th February 2019 as BLACKPINK 2019 WORLD TOUR with KIA [IN YOUR AREA] In Kuala Lumpur was successfully held at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam!

As a BLINK myself , I am going to share with you the complete coverage of the whole events from on-ground activities, soundcheck, concert events to send-off events! (The chief editor WLJack is a hardcore BLACKPINK Fans, he has purchased a BLINK Zone ticket on Day 1, Purple Zone ticket on Day 2, won soundcheck passes and send off passes from lucky draws and onground contests)

HIT 8,000 AUDIENCES WITH DDU-DU DDU-DU!
The concert has attracted a total crowd of 8,000 on each day and summed up a total of 16,000 attendees for both days of events! What an amazing amount of attendees!

Amazing Venue Setup with Lots Of Activities!

Prior to the concert, the venue itself was packed with a lot of on-ground activities including Kia’s Dance Competition, Caraoke, Tao Kae Noi’s Lucky Draw, Manhattan FISH MARKET’s Eating Contest, KyoChon’s Lucky 50s Winner and etc. All of these booths actually provided a chance for the fans to win amazing prizes including the Ticket Passes to the show, Soundcheck Passes, Send-Off Passes as well as autographed albums.

Besides, the venue also provided the backdrop for the fans to take photo with. We also get to see the showcase of Kia’s Stinger which was signed by BLACKPINK Members! In addition to that, the fans can also get to purchase the limited editions merchandises directly from YG! What a golden opportunity for the fans to get a hand on some of these rare collectibles!

Soundcheck Events!

I was grateful to be able to attend the soundcheck events for both days. Before we entered the stadium, we were informed that no photography or videography was allowed. So there’s no photos for me to share at this point.

However, I would really love to thank the organizer for the opportunity given to the fans to attend the soundcheck. This event allowed the lucky fans to witness their idols Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rosé performed LIVE before anyone else. The zone in which the fans were gathered was at the BLINK Zone. So they can see the girls at a very close distance.

During this session, all of the members were in their casual attires instead of the dolled-up performing attires. However, it’s a refreshing experience for the fans as we get to see the more natural side of the amazing girl group! Lisa looks extremely cute with her spectacles on!

For both days, the girls performed 3 songs for the lucky fans during the soundcheck including “Really”, “See U Later” and “Kiss And Makeup”!

BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA!!!

Here comes the part in which all of us were hyped up for. The gate for BLINK Zones started at 4pm, and the ticket holders entered according to batches.

Before the concert starts, the audiences were catered with all of the BLACKPINK Music Videos. It’s a wonderful sight to see how the fans actually sing along when they were watching the music videos.

At around 6.20pm, the concert kicked off with a high energy state! There was a Pink Rubik Cube multimedia being shown on the screen. In a short moment, the girls appeared on stage with a great start as they hit the crowd with “DDU DU DDU DU” LIVE Band version! The beats are so much more intense in this LIVE Version and there’s no reason not to scream for such an astonishing start!

Following DDU DU DDU DU, the girls proceeded with another upbeat song “Forever Young”, then remix version of “Stay” and the very catchy “Whistle”.

After this, the concert continued with the solo stage performances by all four members. First to appear solo on-stage was Jisoo with her Korean version of Clarity! She was seated on a crystal-spheres throne and was filled with elegance. Her vocal was very unique and soothing!

Second to come on stage was Lisa with her dance cover! She has made a cool entrance with a background intro highlighting her name “Lalisa Manoban”! She then captivated the audiences with her very fluid and sexy dance for Take Me and Swalla! Some fans can be seen jumping at BLINK ZONE as she performed the extraordinary choreograph on stage!

After Lisa’s solo performance, we were graced by Rosé’s melodious voice as she sang “Let It Be”, “You & I” and “Just Look At Me”. Her voice was so angelic and totally touched our heart! In my opinion, Rosé is definitely one of the best Kpop female singer out there!

Last but not least, we were greeted by the ever charismatic Jennie with her popular single “SOLO”! Her performance was really charming! During her performance, we can also hear the very prominent fanchant by the fans. She totally owned the stage and amazed the audiences with her powerful performance!

After the solo performances by the girls, BLACKPINK continued the concert with their other popular songs including “Kiss And Make Up”, “So Hot”, “Playing With Fire”,“Really reggae version” and “See U Later”. In between the performances, they have greeted the Malaysian fans! During this session, Rosé has made a Mexican wave with the fans holding their lightsticks and it was a successful wave! Jisoo also greeted the fans with her aegyo Bahasa Malaysia, “Aku Cinta Padamu” and “Kamu Bagus”. Jennie and Lisa also greeted the fans and they hoped the fans have enjoyed the night.

During the intermissions before the final act of the show, we get to see an exclusive video featuring the girls polishing the new Kia STINGER and then proceeded with cool drifting whereby they created “BP” words on the ground they drifted on.

Right after the video, the girls came back on stage with a jaw dropping dance cover of 16 Shots. During this finale act, they have performed two of their most popular songs (which has over 500M views in Youtube), Boombayah and As If It’s Your Last! They performed these two songs at the centre extended stage! The fans at the BLINK ZONE (Middle) and Red Zone (middle) would be able to get the best glimpse of their performance during this part!

After the finale act, the fans wanted more and shouted for an encore! Of course, the girls didn’t disappoint as they came back on stage with their encore of “DDU DU DDU DU” and “Stay”. During the “DDU DU DDU DU”, we can see that the girls were actually having fun their own as they move around the stage, waves at the fans and also cheering the dancers as they danced on stage! Too bad Krunk didn’t make it to Malaysia concert! But the encore is nonetheless still as lively as ever!

It was a heartwarming finishing as the girls sat down and sang “Stay”, providing a perfect ending to the revolutionary concert!

Variations Seen In Both Day 1 and Day 2 Concert!

During the first day of concert, there was a technical issue whereby Jennie was not seen on the platform during the beginning of “Kiss And Make Up”. The issue was not seen during the second day of concert!

During the first day of concert, Lisa won Jennie in a scissor, rock, paper game during the chorus of “As If It’s Your Last”. But Jennie won the game during the second day!

Rosé made only one Mexican Wave during the first day. But due to fans’ demands on second day, she has successfully made two Mexican Waves alongside Jisoo during the second wave!

Send Off Events!
It’s very thoughtful for the organizers to provide a golden opportunity for the fans to get so close to the girls after the show. During this session, the girls made a quick round of “goodbye” to their fans before they leave the venue.

This session allowed the fans to see them upclose and some lucky ones were even able to catch their attention. The girls also made quick poses for the fans during this session!

[Press Conference Coverage] Press Conference of “Thai Film Festival in Malaysia 2019” (From 21-27 March 2019)

Kuala Lumpur, March 2019- Following the successful first Thai Film Festival in 2017 by Royal Thai Embassy, Kuala Lumpur, the “Thai Film Festival in Malaysia 2019” is making a comeback and scheduled to take place on 21 – 27 March 2019. The main aim of the project is to promote people – people contact and cultural understanding between the peoples of our two countries.

This year, the festival will feature seven Thai films, namely, “Bikeman” (comedy), “Premika” (horror/comedy), “Homestay” (drama, fantasy, thriller), “2,215” (documentary), “The Promise” (horror), “APP War” (comedy, drama, romance)”, and “The Pool” (thriller) at four cinemas - GSC Pavilion KL, GSC 1 Utama, GSC Mid Valley, and Gurney Plaza, Penang, with a total of 51 screenings.

The biggest highlight is that, all of the screenings during the festival are FREE! To redeem the free tickets, just present a printout or take a snapshot of any Thai Film Festival in Malaysia 2019 photo or articles in any publication, online postings from Thai Trends in Malaysia facebook fanpage (https://web.facebook.com/TTMMalaysia/) or GSC digital channels and get 2 complimentary tickets at one of the above-mentioned GSC ticketing counters. The tickets redemption will be on a same-day basis which is the on same day with the chosen show time.

 

A reception and a special screening of “Bikeman” will be held on 23 March 2019 at GSC Pavilion 6th Floor, Hall 3, from 13.00 hrs onwards. Distinguished guests, including Thai and Malaysian celebrities and film directors, will attend the event. There will also be an interview session with director and leading casts of Bikeman (Mr. Prueksa Amaruji, director, Mr. Pachara Chirathivat, leading actor, and Ms. Sananthachat Thanapatpisal, leading actress) before the screening. This event is by invitation only.

Earlier on 23 March 2019 from 10.30 to 11.30 hrs, the leading stars of Bikeman will give Malaysian fans an opportunity to get up close during a meet and greet event at ACME Bar & Coffee, 3rd Floor,Pavilion KL. There will be games, photo opportunities and autograph session. The first 100 registered participants will receive signed autographs from the casts.

During the press conference, the media members have asked whether the Thai Film Festival will become an annual event. The possibilities is there if it receives a good feedback and response this year!

This year, they are also inviting the Malaysian local film makers for some experience sharing sessions. If it works well, they are thinking of organizing film making workshop in the future Thai Film Festival.

Genting Highlands, March 2019– It’s a great time for a party this school holiday in – CBeebies style– as the delightful and well-loved characters from the British Broadcasting Corporation’s (BBC) children entertainment channel take to the stage of the Genting International Showroom, titled ‘CBeebies & Friends – It’s Party Time!’. The musical show makes its world premiere at Resorts World Genting on 16 March 2019, promising a performance full of energy and fun for little ones.

My Review On The Show:

The show was really a very joyous time for not just the kids but for the adults who have grown with the characters in BBC.

It was really a splendid moment as we watched the appearance of The Teletubbies on stage. They are our favourite during our time. They are really cute and adorable.

The kids of this generation on the other hand will definitely enjoy the featuring of Hey Duggee, the Go Jetters and Ubercorn, and Sarah & Duck characters on stage.

All of the segments are filled with lively and zestful performances! Apart from providing vibrant dance moves, some of the segments also offer the chance for the kids to interact and learn especially during the Go Jetters segment.

Overall, I can assure you that the show is definitely a BIG FUN FOR LITTLE ONES! Highly recommended for the family with kids.

Kuala Lumpur, March 2019 – It was a lovely evening last Friday as our team from www.wljack.comhave been invited to attend one fine concert titled “REMEMBERING WHITNEY – THE GREATEST LOVE OF ALL”. The performer Trina Johnson Finn has rocked the stage and brought the essence of Whitney Houston to LIVE at Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur.

A Night To Celebrate The Late Whitney Houston!

“REMEMBERING WHITNEY - THE GREATEST LOVE OF ALL” is a 90-minute live music concert celebrating the life and top-selling hits of the late Whitney Houston. It was presented by Milestone Productions Sdn Bhd in collaboration with BAKASA for the Royal Charity Gala. This non-profit, charitable body that aims to provide a better living environment for the underprivileged was able to raise RM700,000 from the ticket sales. These funds will be channelled into uplifting children who are orphans. These orphans come from RukTAA - a home for underprivileged children and CINTAA - a platform world of science, technology and innovation. The Royal Charity Gala was also graced by the attendance of Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom binti Abdullah.

“Tonight was the perfect way to celebrate all the strong women out there - you are truly the Queen Of the Night! Trina was truly remarkable on stage and I believe everyone enjoyed her charisma. She really connected with everyone in the audience and took us on a journey through Whitney’s life,”shared Grace Lee, Managing Director of Milestone Production Sdn Bhd,

Powerful Vocal To Present A Perfect Renditions Of Whitney Houston! Spectacular Performance by Trina Johnson Finn!

The main star of the night was Trina Johnson Finn from Las Vegas. Clad in black, Trina Johnson Finn commanded the stage and gave the crowd perfect renditions of Whitney Houston’s classics such as “I Will Always Love You, “I Have Nothing”, Where Do Broken Hearts Go” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”.

Prior to Tina’s performance, there were two opening acts consisting of two very young talented aspiring musicians! Roy Wong, who is only 13, amazed everyone with his powerhouse vocals, belting out “The Greatest Love of All” with local songbird - Tria Aziz.

The other young talent was Falizstha Sarafina Subahan, 15, who sang a beautiful rendition of “Run to You”. Growing up listening to Whitney, Roy and Falizstha were thrilled and excited to be able to perform some of her greatest hits. “Whitney’s Houston music was challenging but it had a lot of soul to it! It’s a very surreal experience being here,” adds Falizstha.

Back to the main performer of the night, Trina Johnson Finn! She is no stranger to the entertainment industry and has appeared on prominent shows before including The Grammy's, Oprah, the MTV Music Video Awards, the BET Awards, and the American Music Awards. Trina is a very talented artiste and songwriter.

During the show, Trina has mesmerized the audience with her amazing voice. Her vocal control and top-notch singing definitely deserved applause. Apart from her astonishing performance, the concert was also enhanced with the spectacular visual and multimedia effects as well as vibrant dance from the energetic dancers on stage.

We personally really love the display of Whitney Houston’s music video on and off the stage and the transmission between songs whereby Trina shared a little bit of Whitney’s stories. What a wonderful tribute show for the legendary singer!

Of course, we were also delighted that the organizer and singer were thoughtful to provide an encore performance making the celebratory concert a very complete concert experience.

The session was graced by the director of the movie “Bikeman”, Mr Prueksa Amaruji, main lead actor Peach (Pachara Chirathivat) and main lead actress Fon (Sananthachat Thanapatpisal). This is the first time for all of them to visit Malaysia.

Exploring Malaysia Tourism Spot And Food!

During the meet and greet, Peach and Fon mentioned that they have visited KLCC Twin Towers a day prior to the event like a tourist. They found it difficult to take a full photo of the Twin Towers.

Apart from that, the organizer has actually provided a chance for both of the artistes to try Malaysian most famous food, Nasi Lemak on stage. Both Peach and Fon seems to enjoy the Malaysian delicacies and replied “Delicious” in Bahasa Malaysia “Sedap”!

Selfies! Lots Of Selfies With Fans!

Both Peach and Fon were very sporting. They have interacted with the fans via a few games session. The lucky fans get to take a selfie with both of them on stage. One of the fans whose birthday was on that date even get to hug Peach and Fon!

Overall, it was a really fun and joyous meet and greet session! I can see that all of the fans were very pleased with the friendly responses by their favourite artistes.

Opening Reception And Special Screening of “Bikeman” at GSC Pavilion KL, 6^th Floor, Hall 3

On the same day itself, there was an opening reception and special screening of “Bikeman” which was held at GSC Pavilion KL, 6^th Floor, Hall 3. The event was graced by His Excellency Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, the director of Bikeman, Mr Prueksa Amaruji, as well as Peach and Fon.

During this session, there was an interview with both Peach and Fon as well as the director Prueksa Amaruji. Peach and Fon have collaborated in a drama “Hormones” before. But during that time, they both only have not much same on-screen time together. Thus, they have to re-adapt again during the filming of Bikeman.

Fon shared regarding her latest Thai Drama, titled “Boy For Rent” which was also a comedy genre. On the other hand, Peach mentioned that he currently does not have any latest work to share at the moment, but he will update the fans if there’s any news from him.

Following that, all of the media members get to watch one of the most acclaimed comedy Thai Film last year, “Bikeman”! Indeed, it was a really funny film filled with lots of laughter!

[Coverage] Ong Seong Wu First Fan Meeting In Malaysia “Eternity”

Kuala Lumpur, March 2019 – Wanna One member, Ong Seong Wu has made his comeback to Malaysia last Saturday as a solo artiste with his first fan meeting in Malaysia, titled “Eternity” at Axiata Arena. The event has gathered a total of over 4,000 fans from not only Malaysia but other countries as well including Thailand, Australia and USA.

Charming Fans Service!

The charming star kicked off the show with a dance cover of Bruno Mars’ “Treasure”. The energetic dance has got the fans hyped up from the beginning of the show.

Following that, Ong Seong Wu was greeted by the emcee and then continued with three segments of interactions using 3 different apps namely “OngTalk”, “Ongstagram” and “OngPlay”. He answered the questions that his fans sent to him. During one of the segment, he also explained the meaning of the photos he has taken before. He also danced to a mashup of hits for his fans.

The event then proceeded with the singing performance of “Please” whereby he has changed into an attractive grey suit attire. He has a mesmerizing voice and his performance has captivated the fans.

After that, a series of interactive sessions followed including The Claw Game, What’s In The Coffee and Let’s Sing A Malaysian Song. It was a fun moment especially during the claw game. He was very focused in clawing out the dolls to be given away to some lucky fans. Although he failed on a few attempts, the emcee and the fans have provided their utmost support to him and cheered for him.

It was also a delightful moment when Ong Seong Wu tried to learn one of the most iconic local song “Rasa Sayang”. He is a quick learner and he managed to learn the song very quickly. He was able to sing out the line in the correct tune.

Besides that, a surprise dedication video made Malaysian fans was played for him. It was a surprise for him. He then performed the second song of the night, “Love This Moment”.

After that, the lights were turned off and the audiences started calling for an encore. Of course, he didn’t disappoint and came back on stage with a dance performance as the encore act.

Last but not least, the show ended with a “Hi-Touch” Session.

Million thanks to Hatchery, a Thailand-based production and entertainment company for organizing the 1^st ever fan meeting of Ong Seong Wu in Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur was the 2^nd stop of the fans meet. The final stop would be in Singapore on 6^th April 2019.

Recognition of Short Dramas!

Apart from the appreciation of Television Dramas, the awards show also provided an award for short drama. “Drama Pendek Pilihan” was awarded to the team behind “Orang Kita”.

First Time Ever, Awards for Mandarin based Drama In Anugerah DFKL 2019!
One of the highlights of the night was the awards for Mandarin Based Drama. This was the first time for Anugerah DFKL to include Drama Rantaian Bahasa Cina as part of the show. The winner for the award was My Nyonya Sensei. The team for My Nyonya Sensei was very grateful to be given a chance to take part in Anugerah DFKL 2019 and they were very happy that their effort has been appreciated. Angeline Tan has given a meaningful speech on stage which highlighted on how the award show would be able to strengthen the bond between multi-races in Malaysia.

Apart from all the awards presentation, the audiences were also entertained by multiple performances like on-stage sketches and also singing performances. Singing performances of the night included Sarah Suhairi with the performance of “Nyawa & Raga”, Zaim & Pasha with medley performance, Hafiz Suip with his song “Kisah Cinta Kita”, De Fam’s upbeat performance with a little bit of Kpop Spice and last but not least Anuar Zain with “Sedetik Lebih”.

The showcase began with the performance by our local artiste Alvin Chong. He has performed his single “Tajam” on stage.

Right after Alvin Chong’s performance, James appeared on stage and mesmerized the fans with his performance including the songs of “Let Get Away”, “Perfect” and “The Light”.  

During the showcase session, James told the fans regarding the meaning behind THE LIGHT EP which highlights on his journey from darkness to light after an accident a few years ago. THE LIGHT EP is the sincerest project that he has ever worked on and was supported by his fans.

He also mentioned that he always wanted to visit Malaysia again to meet and greet his fans. He finally did.

Apart from the performances, James also has a fan signing and autograph session during the event.

First in South East Asia ever! A grand celebration of Batman’s 80^th Anniversary! The Batman Experience swoops in to take over Resorts World Genting’s SkyAvenue!

- Featuring a spectacular SkySymphony show, a live stage production and more, the Batman Experience celebrates 80 years of the Caped Crusader

Genting Highlands, May 2019 – The Dark Knight, Batman is making his way here at SkyAvenue in Resorts World Genting for the next two months. In conjunction with his 80^th anniversary, he will be invading the SkySymphony Stage with “The Call Is Out”, the world’s first Batman-themed audio-visual show that celebrates the 80 years of Batman’s history from 10^th May 2019 to 10^th July 2019.

At the launch were Resorts World Genting, Mr Lim Keong Han, Vice President, Resorts Operations and Mr Kevin Tann, Vice President-Entertainment & Events. Representing Warner Bros Consumer Products Southeast Asia was Neal Rudge, CEO of Pacific Licensing Studio.

“I have been a fan of Batman ever since I was a boy, following his adventures from comic books to television series to blockbuster movies, toys, videogames and collectables,” says Mr Kevin Tann.

“For 80 years, Batman has been part of my life and yours too. It is truly gratifying that Warner Bros has chosen Resorts World Genting to kick off the grand celebration of Batman’s 80th birthday in Southeast Asia. This is the first part of a year-long homage to the World’s Greatest Detective, celebrating his greatest achievements and iconic moments through the cutting-edge blend of music, visuals and kinetic technology only available through our SkySymphony stage. There are so many ways to interact with the Dark Knight at SkyAvenue over the next two months that I’m sure Batman fans will love the experience and many new fans will be born. Long live the Bat! Here’s to 80 years more!” further elaborated by Mr Kevin Tann.

On the other hand, Neal added, ‘First appearing as socialite incognito crime-fighter Bruce Wayne in Detective Comics #27 in 1939, Batman has stood as a symbol of determination, bravery and justice for generations of fans over these 80 years. To commemorate this anniversary, DC and Warner Brothers are mounting a year-long, global celebration honouring the Batman. We couldn’t be more delighted to be kicking off the anniversary’s celebration in Southeast Asia here at Resorts World Genting. This world-class activation being mounted by our friends here features a wide assortment of attractions, really, something for every age, gender and fan type.’

BATMAN’S SKYSYMPHONY SHOWCASE

After the speech, the show began which combines visual scenes spanning the heroic tales and villainous encountersof the Batman Family set on massive 360° LED screens to show-stopping music and a transmogrifying showcase courtesy of 1,001 winch balls.

This is the first ever display of Batman’s long and storied history this way. After moving through scenes involving iconic characters like Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Joker, Catwoman, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Two-Face, Harley Quinn and more, fans were treated to the winch balls display transforming into various three-dimensional iterations of the familiar Bat Emblem and an unforgettable appearance of Batman emerged from below the stage.

BATMAN LIVE SHOW

Three times a day on selected dates, a Batman Live show will take to the Times Square stage at SkyAvenue. Titled ‘Batman & Robin vs. The Joker’, the comedic song-and-dance theatrical production features Batman, Robin, Alfred and Commissioner James Gordon facing off against the maniacal Joker and his henchman in Arkham Asylum. Featuring family-friendly entertainment and interactive games with the audience, the show takes guests through the ups and downs of a typical Batman adventure, with peace descending upon Gotham City once again at the end of the show. After taking a bow, the stars of the show will then stage a Meet & Greet with fans, shaking hands and signing memorabilia for Batman fans young and old.

Guests can also join in on the fun by dressing up as their favourite Batman character in cosplay events scheduled for 28 to 30 June and 5 to 7 July 2019 at the Times Square stage.

On Level 1 of SkyAtrium, four life-sized statues of Batman, a 1:1 replica of the Batmobile from the original Tim Burton-directed 1989 Batman film and a 1:1 replica of the Batmobile from the Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon-directed 2017 Justice League movie will be on exhibition from May 10 to July 10, 2019 – ready for fans and guests to snap photos with under the hashtag #LongLiveTheBat. There will also be a special trick-art wall at the SkyAtrium for visitors to take even more inventive social media-friendly photos.

Also at the SkyAtrium, fans will be treated to a pictorial history of Batman’s key milestones using panel displays. From the debut of Robin to Bane breaking Batman’s back, from Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns to the creation of the Court of Owls, the the display will chronicle the development and history of the entire Batman pantheon from 1939 to 2019.Younger fans can also experience driving a Batmobile, with a fully-controllable Junior Batmobile available to try out at SkyAtrium.

CHIBI BATMAN DISPLAY

On Level 3 of SkyAvenue, the Dark Knight meets Japan in a special ‘chibi’ Batman display – depicting characters like Batman, Robin, Joker and Poison Ivy in a colourful, anime-like style that is both adorable and a departure from the typical dark and noir Batman atmosphere.

BATMAN WAYANG KULIT!

Batman also takes a very local turn, with the Batman Wayang Kulit display at SkyAvenue. Featuring famous scenes and recognisable characters in traditional Malay shadow puppet Wayang Kulit-style, this fan-created art shows the world of Batman is a very different light, merging 80 years of Batman history with Malaysian culture in a cool, unique way. In addition to the the exhibition, there will be 20 copies of comics on display, a collection by Mr Han that is from 1940, 1942 and 1948.

BATMAN THEMED POP UP STORE

Apart from just viewing statues and snapping photos, guests will also be able to take home a little bit of the Batman Experience through the Batman-themed pop-up store that will be located at Skytropolis Funland Indoor Theme Park and the lobby of First World Plaza, featuring exclusive merchandise.

[Entertainment] Jungle Voice Season 2 “声林之王 2” Malaysia Audition Top 10 Selection

Kuala Lumpur, May 2019 – Astro as the official oversea partner, collaborated with ETtoday 新闻云, has organized a Malaysia audition for the upcoming Season 2 of Jungle Voice “声林之王 2”. Via the audition, Malaysian top 10 have been selected including尤巧柔, 蔡毅昇, 黄欣瑶, 张承惠, 李艾薇, 尹景顺, 刘膺捷, 杨邵绚,张子晴and 曾苡雯. One of these top 10 candidates will triumph and represent Malaysia to take part in the competition at Taiwan.

The judges for Malaysia Audition include Taiwanese Singer Queen魏如昀, and Malaysian singers Z-Chen 张智成and Rynn Lim林宇中. There were a total of 40 shortlisted participants, 30 from online registration and 10 from on-ground audition.

Queen complimented on the Malaysian participants’ performances. However, she also informed that Taiwan participants are spectacular as well. It’s going to be a great competition. 

《Jungle Voice 声林之王》 is a Taiwan Music Reality show co-organized by ETtoday 新闻云, 量子娱乐 and 金星娱乐. The first season was hosted by Lulu Huang Lu 黄路梓茵featuring big names like Jam Hsiao萧敬腾, Yoga Lin林宥嘉as the primary mentors and prominent names like Rainie Yang 杨丞琳, Wilber Pan潘玮柏, A-Lin, Lala Hsu 徐佳莹, Harlem Yu 庾澄庆, Ella Chen 陈嘉桦, Shin信, Show Lo罗志祥as the temporary mentors. This is one of the most anticipated Taiwan Music Show after 《星光大道》.

Special Guest Performer, Brian McFadden From Westlife Joins The Concert!

Former boy band Westlife member and songwriter Brian McFadden has been announced as special guest performer in Boyzone’s “Thank You and Goodnight Farewell Tour” last show on 14th June 2019 at Malawati Stadium, Shah Alam. McFadden started his singing career as a member of Westlife, which was formed in 1998 and released the debut studio album “Westlife” in 1999.

He left Westlife in 2004 to begin his solo career and released the single “Real to Me,” a track in his debut solo album “Irish Son.”

In 2016, McFadden and Boyzone’s Keith Duffy formed the group Boyzlife and toured the world, performing their bands’ hits.

[General] Resorts World Genting Hosted Majlis Berbuka Puasa for underprivileged orphan children and senior citizens

Genting Highlands, June 2019 – In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, Resorts World Genting recently hosted a Majlis Berbuka Puasa for underprivileged orphan children and senior citizens, treating them to the latest and greatest experiences available at the mountain resort.

With 158 children from three orphanages (Dar Asnaf Al-Fateh Gombak, Rumah Kasih Nurul Hasanah and Rumah Anak Yatim Dan Asnaf As-Solihin) and 12 senior citizens from Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Husna Arrashid in attendance, the journey up Gunung Ulu Kali allowed these special guests the chance to see spectacular views of pristine rainforest coming up the mountain. Upon arrival at Genting Grand Hotel, the children and senior citizens were greeted warmly by the Resorts World Genting team, including Puan Seri Cecilia Lim, wife of Genting Malaysia Berhad Chairman Hospitality and CEO Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, Dato’ Edward Holloway, Executive Vice President of Leisure and and Katherine Chew, Vice President of Resort Communications and Public Relations).

 “I would first like to extend my thanks to the children’s homes and old folks’ homes for attending our ‘buka puasa’ feast on this special day. The month of Ramadhan is a holy time where our Muslims friends fast together for their faith. This month is also a time where we are all reminded to be giving and this celebration today is a small gesture by Resorts World Genting to the community.” said Puan Seri Cecilia Lim in Bahasa Malaysia.

The children and senior citizens has witnessed the brand-new Batman Experience at the SkySymphony stage. A celebration of the iconic comic superhero’s 80 years, the show dazzled the guests as the history of the Caped Crusader played out across 360-degree wraparound screens and transforming winch ball display set to an upbeat soundtrack. Snow World at First World Plaza brought the guests into an enchanting wintry wonderland at a chilly -6°, they were ushered in by warm staff to prepare them with gloves, boot and jackets. The children were in awe of the snow and all the 3D trick art attractions. Laughter was heard as they were having fun.

The group also get to experience Jurassic Research CentreIn the Jurassic Research Centre and Ripley’s Believe it or Not at SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting.

With the time for Buka Puasa drawing near, the children and senior citizens were treated to a thrilling ride on the SkyAvenue Skyway cable car, marvelling at the dusk-hued panorama. Upon arrival at the graceful setting of Awana Hotel, they were led to Rajawali Coffee House where a delicious spread of over 100 dishes awaited them. Puan Seri Cecilia Lim, Dato’ Edward Holloway and Katherine Chew were once again in attendance, greeting and mingling among the group.

As the Maghrib prayer call rang out across the clear mountain air, the guests tucked in to the special pasar malam-themed buffet. Featuring a collection of food and drink stalls serving dishes deeply steeped in Malaysian culture – from Ayam Percik to Murtabak, Nasi Briyani to Roast Lamb, fresh seafood to a giant spread of traditional kueh– members of the Genting team assisted the guests to ensure that everyone got to sample a taste of the splendid Buka Puasa buffet.

With full bellies and broad smiles, the children and senior citizens were treated to one last surprise. Each of the three orphanages and the old folks home received a gift hamper of rice, cooking oil, Milo, Maggi instant noodles, dried Bihun and biscuits to take a little bit of the Genting hospitality home with them. Each child also received a goodie bag containing a Faber-Castell stationery set and snacks like Twisties, Cheezels and assorted candies, along with an auspicious Duit Raya packet. The senior citizens were not left out, with each receiving a gift bag containing necessary amenities including a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, body cream and a revitalising bottle of Minyak Cap Kapak.

Under the twinkling light of a thousand stars against an inky-black sky, it was time to say goodbye. The Resorts World Genting team bade farewell to each and every one of their guests, wishing them a happy Ramadhan and a special Hari Raya Puasa, with a promise that they would see each other again. Ramadhan is a month of reflection and generosity, and this special Majlis Berbuka Puasa day will be one that these children and senior citizens will always remember.

Kuala Lumpur, June 2019 – Dinosaur fans, you are up for a treat as UnUsUal Entertainment and co-organizer MacpiePro are bringing Walking With Dinosaurs- The Live Experienceto Malaysia this August 2019.

Walking With Dinosaurs – The Live Experience is based on the award-winning BBC Television Series and will be taking place at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil for three days from 23^rd, 24^thand 25^th August 2019. The show has been watched by more than 9 million people in more than 250 cities around the world. The production will captivate audiences of all ages as 18-life-size dinosaurs are coming over to take over the venue.

Walking With Dinosaurs opened its World Tour in the UK in July 2018 and has embarked on an international tour, taking over arenas across Europe and finally now heading towards Asia with a stopover in Malaysia. The $20 million production features updated state of the art technology, underlining its position as the biggest and best dinosaur show in the world.

Walking With Dinosaurs – The Live Experience was originally produced in Australia by Gerry Ryan, Malcolm Cooke and Jill Bryant and is brought to the world by Global Creatures.

The latest update will showcase colourful changes to the dinosaurs based on latest scientific research including the likely feathering of some species. The show lasts for one hour 40 minutes and will depict the dinosaur evolution with a realistic cinematic experience. Expect to see the scenes of interactions between dinosaurs, how carnivorous dinosaurs evolved to walk on two legs and how herbivores fended off their more agile predictors.

Nine species are represented from the entire 200-million-year reign of the dinosaurs. The show includes the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the terror of the ancient terrain, as well as the Plateosaurus and Liliensternus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic period and Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the Cretaceous period. The largest of them, the Brachiosaurus, is 11 meters tall and 17 meters from nose to tail. It took a team of 50 including engineers, fabricators, skin makers, artists, painters and animatronic experts a year to build the production.

The show also displays the history of the world with the splitting of earth’s continents and the transition from the arid desert of the Triassic period to lush green prairies and forces of the later Jurassic. Oceans form, volcanoes erupt, a forest catches fire – all leading to the impact of the massive comet, which struck the earth and forced the extinction of the dinosaurs.

MONSTA X consists of 7 members, they are Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M. Formed in 2015 by Starship Entertainment, the group has released four full studio albums, six EPs, one compilation album, one video album, and sixteen singles. All their releases have been well received by their fans around the world they lovingly refer to as MONBEBE.
