Kuala Lumpur, October 2017 – Taiwanese Mandopop sweetheart Pets 曾沛慈has come over to Malaysia this month for a series of promo events, press conference as well as for her “I Love You Live Concert Tour In Malaysia 2017”. Press Conference In Malaysia!

Prior to the concert, Pets曾沛慈has met up with the Malaysian media members via an exclusive press conference. During the press conference, she has shared with the media members regarding her current works and her excitement to perform in Malaysia!

She’s afraid that the fans will help her to celebrate her birthday during her concert. (Her birthday was on 21^st October 2017). If it’s really happening, she hopes that the cake will address her age as 18 years old. She joked that, she will be reluctant to cut the cake if it is not labelling her as 18 years old.

Learning Bahasa Malaysia!

Pets mentioned that during her promo at Penang, some fans has actually spoken to her in a native language. She thought the fans was talking to her Bahasa Malaysia. It turned out that the fans was actually speaking in Thailand.

Either way, as part of the fans servicing, Pets has attempted to learn some Bahasa Malaysia. The Host emcee during the press conference thought her how to speak “Aku Cinta Padamu”. Pets who is a very eager-learner immediately repeat “Aku Cinta Padamu”in order to memorize the phrases.

Type Of Guys Pets Like??

One of the topic discussed during the press conference was regarding Pets’ ideal guy type. She was asked regarding which Malaysian male artiste that she would choose if given a chance.

Pets replied that she likes guys who are talented. In terms of Malaysian artistes, she admires Nicholas Teo because she thinks that he’s very handsome and multi-talented.

Promo Activity at KL Gateway Mall!

Later during that night, Pets Tseng has a meet and greet with fans at KL Gateway Mall whereby she performed a few songs, interacted with the audiences and signed autographs for her fans!

Kuala Lumpur, October 2017 – Taiwanese Mandopop singer Pets 曾沛慈 has held her “I Love You Live Concert Tour In Malaysia 2017” recently in Malaysia. The concert was attended by 1,200 fans from Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, China and etc. Prior to the concert, we have also done a coverage on her press conference and promo activity in Malaysia. 2 Years Since Her Last Visit To Malaysia!

It has been nearly 2 years since Pets Tseng came to Malaysia for a concert! She has brought over the whole set of concert from Taiwan to Malaysia. The concert lasted for about 2 hours with a total number of 17 songs in the setlist.

During the concert, the fans were treated with her popular songs like “我不是你该爱的那个人”, “偏爱”, “不过失去了一点点” and etc. In addition, she has also performed medley of songs by Malaysian artists like 对面的女孩看过来and 好想你.

Birthday Cake Surprise By Her Fans!

During her concert, her fans have prepared a birthday cake for her. Pets wished that she could come back to Malaysia again for future concerts. She felt very touched with her fans’ efforts and dedications.

Helping Fans For Confessions!One of her fans actually requested for her help to confess his love to the girlfriend. The fans couple actually kissed right on the stage with Pets’ help.

The fans were very excited and delighted with her friendly interaction. They also sang along with her when she toured around the concert venue.

Inspired by the popular Netflix Hit Series, Stranger Things, with the series second season premiering this Fall, Zouk Club KL has decided to assimilate the various elements from the show and made it come to life via “The Upside Down – A Zouk KL Horror Anthem”. Ruco Chan, Sisley Choi and Chris Lai In Kuala Lumpur!

Separated into two teams, Team A (consisting of Ruco Chan陳展鵬, Chris Lai黎諾懿, Sisley Choi蔡思貝) and Team B (consisting of Nancy Wu胡定欣, Pierre Ngo敖嘉年, Joel Chan陳山聰, Elaine Yiu姚子羚), Team A and Team B proceeded with their promo tour at Kuala Lumpur and Penang respectively.

Apart from promoting TVB Star Awards 2017, the artistes including Ruco Chan陳展鵬, Chris Lai黎諾懿, Sisley Choi蔡思貝have interacted with the fans and played some games with them. There was a segment whereby the fans need to act as dramatic as they could base on given scenarios. It was a funny moment on stage.

我有我Freestyle Contest! Full of talented people!

The artistes also played a role as the judge panel for我有我 Freestyle Contest whereby the winners get to win away great prizes including a trip to Hong Kong, tickets to watch TVB Star Awards 2017 and etc!

Via the contest, we can see that Malaysia has a lot of multitalented souls. Most of the contestants are very young, gifted and can demonstrate top-notch performances like beatboxing, cheerleading, latin dance, violin play and etc. It was a really tough and close competition!

Some of the performances which have stolen the limelight included the kids who were able to sway flawlessly in their latin dance, the young beatboxer who even gained Ruco Chan’s request to teach him in beatboxing, the ever thrilling cheerleading performance and many more!

After a series of talent shows, the winners were announced and they received the prizes from the artistes!

The TVB Star Awards 2017 will be held in Arena of Star, Genting Highlands like in the past few years. The show will be star-studded with many of our beloved HK TVB Artistes!

During the press conference, Joel Chan joked that he can try climbing up to the highlands by walking. So fans, hope you guys did vote for him during the voting period with your TVB Star Awards 2017 apps.

Pierre Ngo mentioned during the press conference that they even went to see some properties at Penang. They said the properties there are nice and affordable. In addition, the Team B (consisting of Nancy Wu胡定欣, Pierre Ngo敖嘉年, Joel Chan陳山聰, Elaine Yiu姚子羚) who came for promo previously even went to taste the king of fruit, durian during their trip.

[Concert Coverage] Sungei Wang 40th Anniversary Live Concert

Kuala Lumpur, December 2017 – Last month, the famous shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur, Sungei Wang has celebrated its 40^thAnniversary with an outdoor Live Concert which was graced by the presence of 40 artistes and performers. 40 Years of Glory! Many Memories and Evolution throughout the years!

Opening its doors since 1977, Sungei Wang is without any doubt the icon for fashion trends and local Malaysian brands! It is also an epicentre of the ‘La La Culture’in the late 70s and 80s.

There was even a popular phrase in the 80s for the tourists who visited Kuala Lumpur, ‘If you have not been to Sungei Wang, you have not been to KL’!

On the 18 May this year, YB Dato’s Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Nazri, Minister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia kicked off the 40^thanniversary celebration and officiated the next evolution of Sungei Wang. New brand new logo for Sungei Wang was introduced but yet embodying the spirit of Sungei Wang’s legacy!

Over the 40 years, many evolutions and upgrades have occurred in Sungai Wang, making it an even more exciting place to visit to!

Sungei Wang 40^thAnniversary Live Concert!

An outdoor LIVE Concert was held on 11^thNovember 2017 as the grand finale of Sungei Wang’s 40^th Anniversary Celebration. The concert featured the performance by 40 local artistes and performers! They ranged from family band to local renowned rock band, Malaysia’s new idol from popular reality TV Shows to well known duos and singers, dance group champions and etc.

The concert was hosted by MY FM DJ Emely Phoon & Phei Yong. The concert kicked off with Red Lycans’(Astro Battleground 2016 Champion) performance with the upbeat dance and heated up the atmosphere. It was then followed by Korean songs covers by KPOP Vocal Champion, Erul Samah.

Malaysian Girls Group, Muse Girls also melted the audiences’ heart with their latest songs. We also get to see first runner up of China reality show, Meer Nash performing a Malay as well as a Mandarin song to showcase his singing skills to the crowds.

The show was also infused with some KPOP Dance Cover by Firex, Champion of Get Krazy KPOP. In addition to that, Kozyy Band, a family rock band surprised the audiences with their melodic and spectacular performances.

The peaks of the show would be during the performances by a few of the popular duos and singers in Malaysia including the sibling celebrities Nick Chung and Stella Chung, rock band Mad August, Asia little diva Jeryl Lee 李佩玲and Mandarin Pop Duo FS (Fuying and Sam). All of them mesmerized the audiences with their prominent songs and their great vocals!

Star-studded Cake Cutting Ceremony!

Besides performances, there was also a cake cutting ceremony for Sungei Wang’s 40^th Anniversary whereby all of the performers and Sungei Wang’s management were invited to stage for a grand cake cutting ceremony!

Every day’s a celebration at La Fiesta!

Located at the first floor of Sky Avenue, Genting Highlands, La Fiesta is a place for you to have a great time with some great Spanish food like the Iberico Ham, Jamon Iberico, Lobster Paella, Presa Iberica, Salmorejo, Churros Rellenosand etc.

*Do note that this place is non-halal as it serves hams, wines and etc.

I have tried out their dishes as below:

Black Seafood Paella (RM 95 for Members/RM 105 for Non-Members)

Patatas Bravas (Potatoes with spicy tomato sauce, RM 18 for members/ RM 20 for non-members)

Pulpo a Feira (Octopus with Paprika Potatoes, RM 45 for members, RM 49 for non-members)

Crema Catalana (Caramelised Custard Cream, RM 16 for member, RM 18 for non-member).

The food are just simply delicious! Personally I really enjoy the Black Seafood Paella with its squid ink infused bomba rice that was complemented with tasty seafood.

As for the dessert, Crema Catalana would be a great treat for the sweet-tooth. Kids will love its crispy outside yet creamy inside texture that was filled with sweetness!

In addition to all these, the atmosphere in the restaurant is really cozy and its interior design provides a great Spanish Dining experience! IMO, it’s also a great place for a romantic dinner!

The dress code is semi-casual and prices of mains range from RM30 to RM500.

Refreshing Interpretation of the Monkey King Saga!

“Adventures of the Monkey King: The Golden-Hooped Rod” delivers the story of Monkey King with a different approach and interpretation. With the utilization of astounding acrobatics combining with the 3D special effects, the Monkey King Saga was presented in a distinct way which we have never seen before.

“Every year, during the school holidays we want to bring in something new, different and exciting for the visitors coming up to Resorts World Genting. This year end, we are proud to present the Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe with their magical 3D theatre performance, “Adventures of the Monkey King: The Golden Hooped Rod”. The show is new, starting only in 2016, and the troupe has plans to tour in China exclusively before performing internationally. We saw the show, and it was exceptional, so we persuaded them to perform in Malaysia.” says Kevin Tann, Vice President of Promotions and Entertainment, Resorts World Genting.

Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe was founded back in 1957 and has won numerous awards from acrobatic competitions, and also winning the highest honour at the festival, Président de la République prize at Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain (Worldwide Festival of the Circus of Tomorrow).

This show has played in Nanjing Cultural Arts Centre, Lian Yun Gang Culture Artistic Centre, Nanjing Sun Palace and Shanghai Poly Theatre since 2016, receiving tremendous response. This will be their first performance outside of China.

The Adventures of the Monkey King: The Golden-Hooped Rod that will run from 11 November 2017 to 1 January 2018, featuring a simple story of good versus evil that will nevertheless still charm its audience.

The 65-minute show is held at Genting International Showroom, scheduled for 9pm daily with additional shows at 4pm, 5pm and 8pm on selected dates.

Enthralling Acrobatics and 3D effects!

The whole show features top-notch acrobatics which requires a lot of skills to perform. The brilliant infusion of acrobatics into the Monkey King plot is spectacular as the performers take on the roles of the monkey minions jumping around. Besides, the addition of Diabolo and Plate Spinning has also added some variety to the show.

Of course, the other aspect which is worth mentioning is the blending of amazing 3D effects which spices up the visual greatness of the show. It is really wonderful!

Overall, it is really a great show for all especially those who loves the mythological figure, Monkey King!

Michael Miu, The New Malaysia TV Drama King 视帝!

One of the biggest moments of the night was when Michael Miu苗侨伟was announced as the winner for My Favorite TVB Actor in a Leading Role for his reprising role as Chok Sir. Michael Miu has been in the acting field for 40 years but this was his very first awards. He felt very grateful and he also thanked his wife Jaime Chik戚美珍for her support. Michael Miu mentioned that he still has a lot of space for improvement and he will continue his passion in acting. Jessica Hsuan said that it has been a long time since she last won a Best Leading Role award and she felt very grateful.

Michael Miu expressed that the award meant a lot to him because he has been in this acting career for over 40 years and this was the first award that he won. Jessica Hsuan on the other hand shared that she will be going back to Mainland for a guest filming. Then she will be taking a short break.

Genting Highlands, December 2017 – In this season of Christmas and New Year, Snoopy and the peanuts gang will be creating a festive atmosphere as they appear at Resorts World Genting this year end 2017.

Snoopy, as the world knows, is Charlie Brown's pet beagle in the comic strip, Peanuts, and the lovable character will be a focal point at the country's premier hill resort with its Tour the World with Snoopy @ Resorts World Genting.

The Peanuts gang parade will see them joined by 11 friends as they light up the resort with their exuberant presence—but the street procession is only one of many activities in the pipeline to celebrate the holiday season.

A main highlight of Tour the World with Snoopy, to be held from 1 November 2017 to 1 January 2018, involves the friendly neighbourhood beagle showcasing various countries.

You may also catch Snoopy in 52 custom-made costumes of different countries and cultures as the figurines will be placed at various locations in SkyAvenue and First World Rainforest.Visitors can take photos with the figurines—each featuring a different country. They are sure to have fun as they look out for all 52 Snoopy at the mall.

Visitors to the resort can catch Snoopy, Charlie Brown and their 11 friends—that would be Santa Claus and company—on parade from 25 November 2017 onwards, during the Tour the World with Snoopy period. The colourful characters will meet and greet visitors as they spread festive cheer at SkyAvenue and Genting Grand daily.

You can also see the larger-than-life six-metre high inflatable Snoopy that will be erected at SkyAvenue Level 1.

Amazing Choreography and Showcase!

There were 12 finalists from different Asian countries which have participated in the Finale. The dance crews include Desi Hoppers (INDIA), ZEROBACK (S.Korea), Nocturnal Dance Company (The Philippines), Artgee (S.Korea), The Bips (S.Korea), Zero Four Dance Crew (Taiwan), Scrach Marcs (Singapore), Eagle Ace (Malaysia), ECX (Malaysia), MBS (Japan), Taiwan Waackers (Taiwan) and Last Minutes Street Crew (Indonesia).

All of the dance crews have their very own unique style and they have showcased marvelous choreography. Zero Four Dance crew has amazed the audiences with their head spinning move.

Nocturnal Dance Company from Phillipines has also gained much attention from the audiences with their traditional mixed modern dance. Their experience from the past competition has helped them a lot. In fact, they have been leading all the way during the showcase segment.

The Bips stood out during the showcase segment as they performed a contemporary street dance with good story telling. It’s really entertaining and it felt like we have just watched a Korean Drama compressed into a dance choreography.

Finally, the top four finalists were born. They include Desi Hoppers (INDIA), Zero Four Dance Crew (Taiwan), The Bips (S.Korea) and Nocturnal Dance Company (The Philippines).

Taiwan Zero Four Dance Crew Triumphed As The Champion!

During the Battle Segment, Taiwan Zero Four Dance Crew was totally well-prepared and has conquered the battleground with their well-balanced dance moves. Battle is definitely Taiwanese Dance Crew’s forte! Continuing the achievement of Formosa Crew (Taiwan) last year, this would be the second consecutive year for Taiwan to crown the Asian Battleground competition.

Guest Performers During The Show!

Apart from the contestants, the show also featured the guest performances from judges including C.Hsiang, Coo Jerri, Keone & Mari, Pacman, Firebac and Mari Koda. As expected from the professionals, their dance moves are slick and impressive!

As for the host emcees, Dennis Yin continued his annual role as the host emcee for Asian Battleground. This year he was partnered with Jenn Chia (Youtube Sensation).

Prior to the start of the hologram show, we were entertained by Zizan Razak and Chaleeda Gilbert’s performances which were an additional bonus for those who have attended the concert.

But most importantly, everyone was delighted as they saw their favourite teal-haired 16 year old cyber celebrity from Japan, Hatsune Miku took over the stage.

The concert has featured many upbeat music from Hatsune Miku, her friends and the band. The crowd was very excited and most of these can be seen with their active waving of their Miku LED Light. In fact, they even knew when to switch the lights to different colours as different cyber singers took on stage.

Hatsune Miku performed almost 30 songs including fan favourites, The World is Mine, Tell Your World and a few cover of Malay songs.

The fans definitely can’t get enough of Hatsune Miku as they stayed behind after the mentioned “last song” and requested for an encore. Well, Hatsune Miku has granted their wish and came back on stage performing additional few encore songs for the crowd.

Overall, this show was really a very spectacular concert. In fact, one of the best I have seen this year. Really glad to be part of the crowd who have witnessed The First Hologram Concert in Malaysia featuring the beloved Hatsune Miku.

Organised by MacpiePro, the highly anticipated K-Wave 2 Music Festival “Brought To You By” Mcalls is set to make a comebackon 13 January 2018 (Saturday, 8pm)at Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur! Door opens from 3.30pm onwards. The event is split into 2 sessions with the first session from 3.30pm to 7.00pm for games & activities. The second session from 8.00pm onwards for the concert.

This marks the second installation after the successful run of the first K-Wave Music Festival “Brought To You By” Mcalls last August.

Joining the festival is the prominent SUPER JUNIOR that will be gracing their first appearance here after a 4-year wait. The group, currently in their 12th year mark, is making a comeback as a 7-member group along with new materials that will thrill

Malaysian ELFs (acronym for EverLasting Friends, the group’s official fan club).

In addition to that, we should also make ways for the debut appearance of our beloved SNSD TAEYEON as a solo artiste in Malaysia. TAEYEON is the lead singer of the acclaimed group Girls’ Generation. SONEs are in for a treat to be seeing her performing solo live for the first time.

Also performing for the first time in Malaysia is MAMAMOO, an uprising 4-member girl group known for their powerful vocals delivered in the style of retro, jazz and R&B. The 4-member boy group NU’EST W, which stands for NU(new), Establish, Style, Tempo and Wait, returns to Malaysia for this festival after almost half a decade.

Part of the lineup that will be making their Malaysian debut are newly formed group A.C.E, known for using the genre Hardstyle in their music; and TAHITI, an all-girl group made up of 4 members. Hexagon of Absolute Light and Organization, or better known by their acronym HALO, is set to ride the wave again with their fans at the festival.

The festival marks an important milestone for the organiser MacpiePro to ignite more live experiences in the future. In line with the idea of “MUSIC WITHOUT STRESS”, Chief Executive Officer of MacpiePro, Ciang Teng and Mcalls came up with entry packages exclusively for the youths to be part of the festival without worries. Prior to the anticipated concert, NU’EST W has met and greeted with the Malaysian Media Members at Hilton Hotel. “Apa khabar, kami adalah NU’EST W!” said NU’EST W to the media members. This was their second time to visit Malaysia. They felt very delighted when they saw their fans waited and welcomed them at the airport.

During the press conference, the 4-member boy group expressed their love for Malaysian food. They really enjoyed satays and fried rice in Malaysia.

When they were asked regarding any future plans for endorsement of any brands or products. Their interest would be in carbonated drinks and smartphones brands. In addition, they were actually also keen to be the ambassador for a drink which they were being served at the backstage.

Recently they have won “Discoverer Of The Year”in MAMA Awards. They were very grateful and they promised to produce greater music and performance for their fans!
